This is one of the most well put together demos I've played in some time. Great stuff.
I played the free demo and was really turned off with how menus worked, loading times, and just the general feel of the game. This is coming from someone who owns every Forza game released. Forza 5 wasn't bad, but compared to what other racing games offer these days it felt sparse.
I don't think it was moving on the hood via the hood cam. I didn't notice water streams on the windshield but I did see water drops forming and getting wiped off via the cockpit

I hope they put out some DLC set in the winter...the off-road with snow and possible blizzard like conditions would look amazing I think

Loading times have always been long in every Forza game. 'General feel of the game' is about as vague a comment as I could imagine. I dunno. It lacked some content because of being a launch game and everything being rebuilt for next-gen, but that wasn't a 'harsh lesson', that was just the reality of the situation. Wasn't anything they messed up or anything. :/

Been playing for over 2 hours now and gotta say I'm impressed! Found the off road racing a bit confusing at first but then got the hang of it. The image quality is excellent and really sharp. A lot better than Forza 5. Didn't feel too much difference in the handling between on the road and off road. Prefer racing on the road myself! Sense of speed is fantastic and the Anti Aliasing is great lending to a nice sharp image. The first Bucket Challenge list was fab!

Im really impressed by this game and i'm very much a playstation person though i already had 3 Xbox 360's in the past. This would be the one game i wouldn't mind buying an Xbox One for.

Nice to see driving at a slower pace instead of all the super cars flying around.
Disappointed by the pricing. Car pass with 31 cars for $25. For Forza 5 we got 90 cars for $50. Seems like I will just wait for the inevitable deal of the week for Horizon 2. Buying the digital deluxe edition is a $5 discount over buying the game, VIP and car pass seperately. No, thanks. I prepurchased the standard edition now and will see if I need VIP. Forza 5 was worth it because the money rewards were abysmal. But thanks to Forza Rewards I now have 20 million in my account and no idea how to spend it. So Horizon 2 might be similar and then I don't need VIP for the three exclusive liveries (the multiplayer events don't interest me). At least not for $20.

I've noticed that watching them through people's profiles on the web looks like rubbish, but the direct loads or One Drive versions look pretty ok.

Indeed. And even during the "chaotic" sessions of racing through crops, you feel in control.
Rally arcade driving has not been this good since SEGA Rally
