Hopefully its similar to Trinity: Souls of Zill O'll.
gameplay looks quite musou inspired, but at the same time the HP levels are very DQ (aka low) and there is a MP bar for magic spells (such as the heal slimes heal)
MP seems to very very very slowly recover over time or from pick ups, I don't see any system in place for special powers built up over a lot of hits.
it seems while this is musou like it might actually be something unique and not truly musou when all is said and done (but still play a lot like a musou game)
there does seem to be some sort of special mode, but I am unable to tell how it was built up as it didn't seem to be from hitting things or kills.
I would like to see a Musou game that has enemy mobs that look remotely interested in trying to engage in battle. Most of the time it looks like you're massacring an entire town at an assembly.
On the other hand, these licensed Musou games are more my style than the usual Gundam and Dynasty Warriors settings. They're inherently more interesting to me; hell, I really want Hyrule Warriors.

little more hack and slashy than I'd thought but I don't really know what I was expecting. i like the DQ-style damage amd healing numbers, I've always wanted to try something like Dynasy Warriors, just not...Dynasty Warriors. don't know if i'm just clouded with bias but this looks more tastefully done than DW. Still excited.

Is it a different engine? The most recent Dynasty/Samurai Warriors games on PS4 still had PS3 style slow down and "fog of war pop in" for troops, but this seems to run better. But I am watching a YouTube video on a phone^^ Anyone we know have boots on the ground?

This is a game that I might have to get a PlayStation 4 for. Even though I really don't want to buy a PlayStation 4 or an XBOX One because I already have several gaming PCs. But I'm a big fan of Dragon Quest, not as much as Tales. But I like Dragon Quest more than Final Fantasy, so I'm looking forward to this.
I'm actually not a big Musou or Dynasty Warriors fan. But this still looks fun.

Yep its a mosou game. Oh well, as long as they're building art assets for DQ11 ps4.
It's also for PS3.
Nope, the ai is the same instead when they attack you get 1 or 2 shot.

I hope battles are more exciting, multiple boss monsters, like all three versions of Cyclops with tons of Hammerhoods whacking the hell out of you

People are complaining it looks like a Musou game. I'll remain optimistic as I've been waiting for a console DQ.

I kind of faded on DW ages ago but Zelda and Dragon Quest have really resparked my interest again. Sometimes I need that shameful branding bump, I suppose.
In the slim chance they localize it, it needs to be called Dragon Warriors. I'm sure this has been said about 150 times, in fact I've probably said it already but it really is too perfect.

But we already knew it would be? Looks less Musou then I was expecting...
It's releasing spring 2015 so it's probably pretty far along.
The producer tweeted right after the reveal that it was not a Musou. So what you're seeing is a response to that.

Well that's good. Oh well, I'll probably need a PlayStation 4 for Disgaea 5 anyway. So I'll get the PlayStation 3 version.
That way it will look prettier and I'll be supporting x86 hardware stuff.

Also, I'll only have played the "Zelda Musou" recently so I shouldn't be particularly burned out since that'll be this month, even if it ends up only marginally different from a Musou.
