Ooh tiny tower Vegas was updated for new iPhones.

I see 1 more floor now on 6+ and the right side of each floor which lights up if the floor is activated.

holy crap "loading" is really trying my patience with banner saga.

cut scene
loading
dialog
loading
map
loading
camp

Anyone playing Banner Saga on iPhone 6? I need some reassurance. My other device is a first gen Mini/iPad 3. Otherwise I should probably just play it on PC. Or wait until I upgrade to a new Air.

Edit: Inferno 2 is great.

I should receive an iPhone 6 in 10 days, according to Apple.
If you can wait that long, I'll report.

I'm playing mostly on iPad Air (I can't imagine a more perfect game than this one on that device) but I play also on and off on an iPhone 4S.
It's totally playable and enjoyable, BUT for the loading times....so I'm playing there just some battles (which are pretty perfect)....not long sessions with many cutscenes (and loadings).

BTW I'm at chapter 4 now (no clue how many there are)...hands down my GOTY.
Can't decide if I'm liking more the (hard) choices during the cutscenes or the (sometimes pretty hard) fights, where my tactical skills are really put to test.
Yesterday I was basically stuck in a particular battle....seemed impossible.
I slept on it, completely changed tactics and characters....won at second try with even a huge bonus.
I felt like the Viking's God.
The plot is fantastic too.

What are you playing on?

dont want to play on my iphone6, love it but not for turn based strategy games.
wasted 10 bucks unless they can patch it
anyway how can it take 60 seconds to load a couple of 100mb from a flash drive?
and the loading indicator sucks. random flashing dots are the worst.

Playing Inferno 2...oh my god...easily the Radiangames' best game....maybe the best shooter to ever come to IOS!!!!

The music is just wow, so good, and you have so many options and skills to use!!!

Homing rockets, spread shot, bouncing bullets, slow motion, upgrades for every weapon and to your ship's armor, speed, and more. So many choices and you can switch between weapons on the fly!!!

The game is just a visual spectacle! Hordes of enemies, the explosions of color and neon blasts, the screen filling chaos as enemies and bullets converge. It's so beautiful!!!

It's really challenging too...you really need to plan ahead, and watch for choke points and use the best weapons at the best times to succeed.

So good...$3 is a steal for the amount of content here!!!

Been playing that Cave Treasure 2 game, it's pretty fun although has more systems than you would usually expect in a tower defence game (multiple currencies/resources etc). Art is nice tho :)

All Radiangames stuff on iOS is incredible. Great use of the platform.

And yeah, Inferno 2 is insanely good.

Ah yeah that's what I've got, I'll pass and maybe pick up on PC during a steam sale. Non retina Mini definitely starting to show its age, alas.

Okay, here are my real impressions:

I've been playing Inferno 2 for a few days now and simply put, it's everything that made the original so enjoyable...but bigger and better. The maze-like levels filled with deadly chokepoints, now larger and more diverse. The varied enemies from corridor-filling hordes to turrets and other threats, now with more variants and devastating new types. The light RPG elements, now with even more aspects to upgrade.

But those improvements wouldn't matter if the shooter gameplay didn't live up to expectations...and we're talking about Radiangames here, so it does, in spades. The controls feel rock solid and the amount of options you have at any given time are almost overwhelming, between four projectiles types and four missile types. You can switch between those weapons at any time, from creeper mines and penetrating ghost missiles to spread shots and ricocheting bullets. Along with your special ability, be it slow motion or space-clearing repulsor, you have an extensive arsenal at your disposal to decimate the neon hordes across Inferno 2's 80 levels

While JoyJoy may be the most artistic shooter in Radiangame's library, Inferno 2 is perhaps its most visually chaotic. It's not long until the screen becomes a frenetic array of flying bullets and swarming enemies and color. The electronic soundtrack complements the arcade action perfectly.

Inferno 2 is easily Radiangames' best yet. If you're a fan of dual stick shooter, this is a must play

I've only played a little bit of it, but it's remarkable that it's giving off a very Gauntlet-esque vibe. Weird, but it feels VERY much like it IMO.

On that note, are there any Gauntlet-esque games on iOS? I know there was a wizard twinstick one I can't recall the name of, but if there's anything closer to the arcade version of Gauntlet, I'd love to know about it.

Fyi for those asking, Banner Saga on 6+ is insanely good looking and runs very, very smoothly.

How are loading times?
That's the only thing that bothers me in a ancient 4S can't wait for the new phone to arrive.

Speaking of the game itself...I'm on chapter 5 already...
I can't speak about it, because I depleted my 'GLORIOUS' quota for this month already.

Pretty much instant. The longest loadtime is getting into the main menu [at least for me]. On a 6+ 64GB

Great, thanks.
Same as iPad Air then.
I think the longest load in game is when you go to the heroes tent and you have many characters.

Is anyone still playing Adventure Xpress? I'm at the end of the third area, and I have some questions/thoughts...

Does anything really change after this point? So far, it feels like a slow progression through each level where you unlock a new weapon, new armor, or new spell in rotation, and you typically have just enough cash to get that unlocked thing unless you spent money to upgrade spells.

Does it drain other peoples' batteries faster than most other games, and definitely faster than any other 2D puzzle game?

Should I be saving the stamps for anything in particular? Do they become increasingly rare where I'm going to regret using them for perks/upgrades?

Game I'm anticipating this week:
Enterchained - releasing tonight, out now in NZ
https://itunes.apple.com/nz/app/enterchained/id914400748
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSirIqm3xnU
A game about two gladiators chained together, fighting for their lives in the Colosseum.
Take down your foes with slashes, sword throws and chain trips to complete quests for gear and glory.

- Brutal hack 'n' slash combat
- Hours of challenging quests
- Dozens of swords, shields and helms to unlock
- IAP Free, 100% skill based unlocks

I figured it might be because of the graphics. That's a shame :/
I wouldn't say it drains battery faster than any other graphical game, like Infinity Blade or any other recent 3D title.

I like it because of it's aesthetic (pirates!) and the game play is fine by me. It's a tried and tested formula, which surely isn't for everyone but I like the base building and attacking other people aspect. Plenty of NPC fights to be had as well in the explore mode where you sail a ship around a map.

I see it as one of those mobile games played a few times a day over a long period of time. Of course you can have your instant gratification via IAPs but I've found that so far to be necessary.

The game is in it's infancy as well compared to other games in the genre (Clash of Clans etc.) but the devs seem to be dedicated to new features and such so I'll probably stick with it for quite a while.

I'm also interested in thoughts on this. I'm level 11 now, have gone through 5 or 6 bosses and it definitely just seems like it's going to be more of the same with gradual unlocks until the end. Don't see how they can change things up much though. I haven't used stamps for anything either, not sure if I should use them or if there'll be any better use for them later on.

I've finished the first 6 areas, working on the 7th.
Yeah, it's more of the same. The difficulty ramps up a bit towards the end of the 4th area, IMO. I do recommend grinding a little bit on previous bosses if you need cash, because you typically don't have enough to buy everything you want each level.

Battery drain does seem pretty high, but not terrible. But yes, higher than other puzzle games.

Stamps are awarded at random sometimes and then also when you do those tough Gold Bag levels off to the side. I use them when I just feel like I need a boost, so like once every couple of areas or so.

can I make a purchase bought on a i device from ipad etc, automatically download on the pc client?

also is there a way to transfer apps that were on pc already, install to an ios device all at once, rather than go down a long tedious list clicking install all the time then sync. I have hundreds of apps to sync and its evenmaking itunes itself lag with me going down that list.

How is Banner Saga on a regular 6? Is the text easy to read? UI elements easy to use?

too fiddly for me, at the end of a battle there is some micro text. On the battlefield interface it has pinch zoom but i moved someone to the wrong square several times with a fat thumb and couldnt work out how to take back the move even before going to the next person. The art style of the UI is ok on a desktop but they really didnt redesign anything for touch. Seeing "press ESC" in the text sort of proves thar.

I've been getting into this too but it's so "hurry up and wait" that I might bail on it.
I find you can play it more the more you play it in a sense. There's a small downtime when you recruit your pirates but then you plunder someone and stock up on resources, rinse repeat. A lot faster than waiting for gold mines/grog to generate. Ground out a million gold in an hour earlier today for a new tavern upgrade. :)

Is there a NeoGAF guild for Plunder Pirates? I just unlocked my Guild Hall.

I'm in the main Reddit guild personally (there are a few now), as it another GAFer I can remember on the top of my head. There's quite a vibrant community active for the game over on that site.
