still haven't recieved my copy of smash bros 3ds from futureshop.

i contacted customer service on oct 8 and they told me they were escalating the problem and i should expect a phone call from head office within the next couple of days.

i didnt receive a phone call so i called back and the lady said i should wait a little longer.

on friday, oct 17 i called again telling them i haven't received a call from their head office so the lady put another escalation call and said I should expect a call this week.

still no call and i'm getting really frustrated, like they don't give a crap.

Good luck with that. Had the same problem a while ago, and it took at least 10 calls where I was getting more and more frustrated... Ordering things from their E3 sales always feel like a gamble to me, because I'm always afraid I'll have to go through this hell again if another game goes missing. Overall, it's still worth it because of the amount of discounted games I did get VS. 1 missing game, but I'm always considering it twice now before pressing the "Order button on their website. Comparing their costumer service VS Amazon's is like night and day.

If this bullshit happens with with Bayonetta 2, I think I'm gonna become insane.

A cautionary tale for us all. The potential risk one takes with E3 deals.

Shop.ca with coupons son, get AW for $49.99

I always see Shop.ca get mentioned around here and elsewhere. Where do you find the coupons anyway? Someone a few days ago mentioned them having them on Facebook but I couldn't find it anywhere on their page. COD AW for PS4 for $49.99 sounds like a good deal though.

Then again I am also very stupid and probably didn't look in the right place.

Go on their Facebook and click on the drop down menu below their cover photo and click on "PLAYHAPPY Leafs" or "Oilers Fans" or something and it'll give you a coupon

Oh thanks I got the $20 code. You mentioned it at $49.99 though and it doesn't look like it'll let me stack coupons either (I found another $10 one from random googling).

Also how are Shop.ca with shipping? It would seem kinda... Well pointless to get the "Day Zero" Edition and not get it on 'Day Zero'

EDIT: Nevermind found the method I guess. Here's the link for others who are curious. It looks like it can work with other games

I'm guessing it's a price error, but the Shoppers flyer for next week is showing the 3DS XL for $130 (probably supposed to be the 2DS), and it's 20x points on Saturday. They also do Scanning Code of Practice, so it's possible you might get another $10 off if it rings up at $200 and you get them to honour the flyer price.

Soooo, Shaw everything having problems for others in Lower Mainland? Internet doesn't work, cable doesn't work. They are "on" but that's about it.

I assume it's the storm.

I'm downtown Van, and my cable was being wonky last night! Box completely shut off, I thought it died. I had to unplug and reboot. Guess it was due to that.

Anyone know if you can exchange a e3 preordered game for another one of equal price at bestbuy/futureshop? I have sunset overdrive preordered but if it turns out to be a dud, I wouldn't mind exchanging it for bayonetta 2.

Shop.ca facebook just offered a new $20 promo code for the Leafs win last night.

In the last 3 months I have received a $25 off $50 code from pizza pizza. Then I received a $50 off a $100 purchase from pizza pizza. Then I received another $40 off a $100 purchase from PayPal which I was able to stack with the $50 off $100 purchase to get $90 of credit off $100. Now I have a $20 off $50 code thanks to the Leafs facebook thing.

PLUS

I am also getting about $30 of ebates money back on my purchases. That's insane. I wish their selection for gaming was better though. :/

Actually, when I left my apartment this morning, I discovered a fallen tree outside near my balcony. Wondering if it hit some cables or something.

Though I called Shaw quickly to see if they had a stock message, and they had a "due to winds, service is affected in the lower mainland, etc. etc."

Soooo could be any one of many reasons lol. Just hope it's fixed soon so all my shows record :(

Looking for some TV advice

(I'd ask this in the HDTV thread, but they are mostly discussing american models that we can't even get here)

So with the Black Friday /Boxing day coming, is there a verdict on the best TV that's available in Canada? I am looking for 65-80inch, don't care about "smart" or 3D features. Needs to have good image quality and no input lag problems. Not 4K or curved, not Plasma. Need at least a few HDMI inputs.

Thanks!

Fuzzy

I would bang a hot farmer!

You can't.

You can probably exchange/return it, but only for the amount you paid. They won't just give you an extra $20 or whatever for it.

Just went to the Store Formerly Known as Radio Shack and Rayman Legends on PS4 is on clearance for $28, at least at the one Source location I went to. Can't speak for the PS4 port but if you haven't played it and don't have a Wii U, it's a great deal at that price.

Also they have Fortune Street for Wii on "clearance" for $30. What a bargain.

You should grab Fortune Street just for the sheer fact that it's rare.

So I picked up my Wii U Pro from the store over the weekend. Had to wait a while for them to sort out a communication issue, but they eventually handed it over to me without a receipt.

This morning, I got a shipping notice for the Wii U Pro controller. Am I getting 2 for the price of 1? Guess we'll see soon enough.

Thanks!

If you can find yourself a Sony w900a, best led you can buy with amazing picture quality and one of the best for input lag time. Basically the perfect gaming TV.

Do your research on it and look it up and you'll thank me.

It does have the smart features and 3d as it's next to impossible to find TV's these days without it.

for whatever reasons amazon decided to upgrade my Toad pre-order to on release day shipping (price is adjusted to $45 though). Meanwhile Bayo2 order is still showing shipping on 29th :( guess I will wait for FS order

I've given up on Amazon for release day shipping. I got too much shit on my plate right now to care about Bayo anyway, though.

Anyone know a relatively legitimate place to get NHL tickets (Leafs) that's not from ticketmaster? I was supposed to get a notification through work (they offer discounts/packages) but I hadn't heard anything so I called and the guy handling it and he basically responded "lol, woops. Maybe next year right? har har har". Looking through ticketmaster I can't seem to find available seats. I found some site called stubhub and there seem to be some seats I'd be willing to buy but I'm not sure how legitimate the site is and how safe my purchase would be.

stubhub is legit

Anyone know when the Target flyer is released? I'd like to get an Xbone for 10% off this weekend, but since the bundles I want (Sunset Overdrive or Ass Creed) aren't out yet, it would only make sense to do so if they are giving away a gift card with purchase as well. Otherwise, waiting and getting a bundle at full price makes more sense, as I will definitely be grabbing both of those games.

I used stubhub to grab tickets for a Yankees/Mets game in NY. Works great.

Changed my main credit card recently. Gonna be fun calling FS and BB about all my orders.

I've been having issues with the chip on my credit card lately, keeps getting declined. I should get it replaced but I haven't just because I don't want to go through that hassle with FS and BB. :lol

(I rarely use it except for online purchases though so its not that urgent, and when I need to I can usually just do the tap thing)

BTW Amazon updated the price for my Captain Toad order. The "promotion applied" has also been adjusted so I'm now receiving 18% off $44.99 (which is $36.89)

I didnt get the "promotion applied" so had to chat with amazon rep. The guy ended up adjusting the order manually and gave me 30% discount lol ($31.50)

StubHub is definitely legit. I bought my ticket for the Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses from there. Painless experience.
