Aswell as tile transparency, I think the option to customize what your tiles look like would be neat too.
Ve3tro posted some mock-up pics here that I think look solid.
Transparency is a must, seems like such a waste to be able to customize your wallpaper , only to have the tiles cover most of your screen at all times .as it is currently , really seems like no point unless u just want to change to a solid color, which stony will be doing the same in 2.0

Just saw this on reddit, you can upload your own backgrounds through DLNA/USB with a newer update rolling out now, no onedrive support yet but that's a good alternative.

GAMMA option in settings. Black levels are messed. Screen is either too dark in PC, or washed out TV setting. There are some requests on xbox.uservoice, but they're drowning.

But enough about that. I am loving these updates. I'm so ready to be blown away by Windows 10 next year... Microsofts unified ecosystem is becoming scary good.

Idk if you already tried it but I couldn't get the app to update so I deleted the Media Player Preview app and just downloaded it again and it worked.

..I don't think this is working for me. I saved the image to my flashdrive as a PNG, I slot it into the console and can view the image just fine. Though when I hit Menu, I only get "Go Home" and "About".
I'm guessing that they are pushing out the Media Player update in waves and I haven't got it yet?

OT: Cortana reading text messages while a drive is pretty sweet, its quite conversational as it (she?) will say things like 'xxx text you, wanna read it?' I reply and the same person texts back Cortana might say some like 'xxx replied back, want me to read it?' It's very fluid and voice recognition just works, I'm surprised it hasn't been ported to the xbox/kinect.
Just make sure your phone is set to US region, then you get 'proper Cortana' 😊 .
I'm expecting it in the big Windows 10 roll out which also includes stuff for the Xbox One mid to late next year.

If you want to experiment with it, get a Lumia 520 ($50-100) or 630 ($150). They'll play most Windows Phone Xbox games and it will give you a good experience to experiment with.

Before I deleted and reinstalled Media Player it had "Media Player Preview" as the name... I guess by Reinstalling it, it pulled in the new name

Get invited by someone in the program. Usually drop your GT here and someone will jump on it.
Usually they update once and everyone tests but if issues pop up they will hotfix.

Fair enough. PM me your GT and I will invite you. Usually takes a day or so and they send you a dashboard message which gets you to download an app and register your console for updates.

MS is doing really well with their updates. They really try to please us and i think this is the right way to convince people to buy their Conolse. If someone would ask my, which console i would recommend, i would point to the Xbox and thats beside the fact that it has slower Hardware.

You can use Smartglass to move your pins around, and it will sync with your console. (for some reason the array is rotated 90° on a phone, take that into consideration)

Yes! Would love to hear my Xbox talking back when I use voice commands. Playing with Cortana on my Lumia 620 and its kinda cool!
