Monster Strike is the latest and hottest smartphone game out of Japan. The brainchild of Capcom veteran Yoshiki Okamoto (Street Fighter II, Final Fight, Folklore), the game blends the dragonesque trappings of PAD with billiards/pinball and seasons it with Monster Hunter-esque four player online co-op.

About rerolling and data management

Online multiplayer is handled in this by clicking on a URL to join a lobby. It also has built in support for Facebook, WhatsApp, and LINE to make the process easier. LINE is a social media platform with clients on iOS/Android - wwe have a LINE group chat set up for GAF to play together. Ask for an invite to the private GAF group in this thread!

When posting your room to LINE, adding the dungeon you want to run helps players decide if they want to join or not (bonus stages are perennial favorites!). Also remember that you have to join the room yourself for it to show up!

Co-op seems to be a bit unstable at the moment; here's one particular glitch you may encounter:

When hosting a match and you are sent out of the game to post the link, sometimes the game restarts. When this happens you wont go to the dungeon or stage you selected to host. Instead you will host the last dungeon you successfully ran.

So if you don't see the friends invite list when you get back in the game but see a black screen then a connecting to a server prompt it means the app restarted you then will see the update/news screen then it will connect you to the searching striker screen.

To confirm the bug exist continue to connect and host when you see the searching for strikers screen click the back button click yes and you will see the dungeon stage is different from the one you selected. Of course if you are spamming the same dungeon over and over then the bug should not concern you.

What kind of team should I go for? Baby's first team composition: Laser, Bomb, Pierce
Where to find Divine Catalyst? Rare drop from 25stam weekday dungeons, may be more common in the weekend ones?
What does Luck do? Adds a chance of receiving a bonus drop at the end of a dungeon. You get separate luck rolls for each player when running co-op
How do I increase Luck? Feed dupe monsters to each other. Monsters in the same evolution line will also work
Evolve? Ascend? wha You can evolve your monster when it reaches max level as long as you have the right evolution materials. In contrast, Ascension uses special monsters that can only be gotten from certain event dungeons. You can switch between any evolution/ascension as long as you meet the requirements
I got a Striker Jr what does he even do? Striker Jr. has some awful stats but has a high threshold for adding Morlings to him. Consider him a very, very long term project
Why am I not getting orbs for playing co-op/invite referrals? Turn on push notifications
Also, make sure to lock your rare monsters so you don't accidentally fuse/sell them away like a dumb dumb!

For those wondering how to do quick wipes on an android device (rooted) without re-downloading the updates:

1. Close the app
2. Use something like Root Explorer to navigate to data/data
3. Open the folder named jp.co.mixi.monsterstrikeUS
4. Delete data10.bin
5. Re-open the app and you should be back to the create a name part.

Just tried it out on my cheapie Android phone that I use for development. As a person that didn't play Puzzle n Dragons, it seems a bit confusing. I guess the fun in the game is the different abilities of all the monsters, eh?

Trying to re-roll for an A or S monster so I'm not tempted to spend PAD money on this. Saving all my accounts with 5-star rolls in case I want to give out and go back or I might just give them away. So far I've gotten

1 with a Valkyrie, 1 with a Harley X and 1 with two Nobunagas.

How long can I stand rerolling? We shall see.

To avoid spending loads of money down the road, some people like to wipe the data and do the tutorial repeatedly until they get a top-tier toon.

You get like 50 orbs real quick once you start cooping, you will get good monsters either way.....rerolling in this game doesnt seem to be THAT important

Time sink seems pretty similar - a complete reroll with two gacha attempts takes about 6 minutes, at least using the express method on iOS.

If you're going for a specific Unit though, re-rolling is a great idea. At least that way you can get exactly the Unit you want [assuming you have the patience].
