Right now I'm not liking Lucifer Ring so I'll put some hours into it in order to finish it then delete it.
This game is just way too early PSX era XD.

I just completed Danganronpa. What a ride that was, especially toward the end when it was laying down all manner of twists and reveals. Quite a few loose ends though. Don't know if they were left deliberately up in the air or if they're going to be addressed in the follow-up.

Anyway, really got to hand it to the man who stole the show, this broham right here...

Dude was the source of many many laughs. I'm (big spoiler)
so glad he wasn't murdered or one of the blackened, 'cos I was rooting for him by chapter 3 onwards and was dreading he would be killed off somehow. It was a relief to see him among the survivors.

And as an aside, I'm really grateful that the game had both a Japanese audio option and a protagonist in a visual novel who wasn't silent, but just as much of a character as the rest of the cast. That did a lot to win me over. Now I've got a wrapped up copy of the sequel that's been sitting on my shelf since release day, and I don't know whether to jump straight in or take a little break from Monokuma & Co. for the time being. The first one was a long game, so it might feel a little excessive to go through another onslaught of despair so soon after.

Glad you enjoyed it and yes taking a break before DR2 is a good idea, helps build anticipation for it.
Also too much Despair is just...Despair.

The final stage of Lucifer Ring is some Bullshit. This a very short game, beatable in one hour if you're good in the final stage :p
Not worth the $5.99 IMO, should've asked for impressions first XD

Best dungeon crawler game on the Vita?

Demon gaze.

Seconded. Demon Gaze has some fan service, and the online portion can get a bit... obnoxious (people can leave notes like dark souls, but the Demon Gaze community doesn't do so well at keeping on task), but overall it's a very good dungeon crawler, and it actually has a reasonably passable story to boot (it's not a work of art, but it's something).

New infos and screens(damn i hate Gematsu's gallery) on Digimon Cyber Sleuth...

This game looks amazing. This and Digimon Adventure 3 could be an amazing nostalgia trip for me if the game launches in the West.

They should seriously pull a One Piece and port it in multiple platforms for the West.

Some Disgaea people are kickstarting a game but consoles stretch goal is too high

Are you seriously telling me getting a opening with high production values was more important than releasing the game in multiple platforms? Sad :(

500k goal for consoles seems quite unlikely.

And more importantly, something bugged me when reading the info. The Beta is launching in Janury 2015 (in 3 months) and the final game in February 2015 (4 months). That indicates that the game must be pretty much finished at this point.

ALO wasn't like that in the anime either, it was only Aincrad that was.

Damn, 500k :(

Well, ALO was never a deadly game iirc.
edit: beaten

Sorry i heard everyone's advice and stopped watching at the first arc lol.

EDIT:
but i remember looking at an episode where Kirito enters a tower full of angel like enemies that beat him badly and dying seemed a serious issue in fact his sister risks her life to save him before a death counter ends.

Congrats, yo. (almost end spoiler)
Really hope you made the wrong choice and pointed out Kirigiri as the culprit in (what would have been) the last trial. Most amazing “ending” ever!
. If not, better load up that trial again bro ;)

No Heroes Allowed, No puzzle either is totally worth the $10.
Aside from some tweaks I'd like such as Badman's daughter not popping up everytime I get something in the mines, this is a really fun and addicting game.
GotY contender for me for sure.

I am pretty sure that I preordered FW a couple of weeks ago, but now I can´t find the game at all on the Vita or PC store (not even through search).

Have they removed it?

It's just them being immersed in the game e.g. being dumb; yeah, mostly being dumb and obnoxious.

Will be grabbing the Jak Trilogy on my way to work. If the shop also has a used copy of Celceta...maybe I'll get that too? Save 800ish MB on my Vita...
XSEED need to get the recent update for that game, that Japan got, for US and EU already...

Game appears to be F2P, abandon ship

I fear for Tales of Hearts R. I'll buy it, but I'm not sure a lot of people will endure an awful localization for that particular game.

I don't think that game got an Asian English release ahead of the West so it should be safe.

It's also getting a (limited) retail release, I suspect the main reason SAOHF didn't get a retail western release is so they could slip it past certification more easily.

AFAIK the complaints with the hearts R localization aren't about grammar (yet), since no one has played it. It's that the translator arbitrarily changed all the character names to ones that sound completely different from their original names. Names of traditional moves that have been the same in every tales game were also changed to some random stuff the translator made up. So it's a bad translation from a fan standpoint, not necessarily a quality standpoint.

I feel like the bolded is a problem. Even if you don't understand Japanese, you will be hearing the characters calling out to one another, and the subtitles will be completely different from what they said. Idek why they would do that, changing the character's names on a game with voiceovers just seems so strange.

There's also issues with context sensitive material. Unfortunately I'm not sure how to find it, but multiple people who are big fans of Tales Hearts wrote up why -- even from the previews -- the english translation was bad. Their guess was that the translator wasn't familiar with the series (let alone the game) and just translated the lines without playing the game. This means there are lots of places that don't really make sense. Maybe I can find the articles.

**Well that was easier than I thought. This guy I believe is the lead translator on the Tales of Hearts translation project.
Here are the articles: First and Second

The second one is more relevant.

Oh man, Freedom Wars next week.

I am little wary about it, I don't want it to be another Soul Sacrifice situation where I was hyped for the game but ended up hating it. Delta made things better, but still not as much to make me like it better than ROA or Toukiden.

Eh... I don't think toukiden is for me. I played a bit last night and I don't think I like the monhun style of games. Might trade it in towards ys today.

Home (indie horror game, not PS Home) is coming to PS4, $3, oct 28th. Good timing, of course.

It's an interesting experimental game, sort of like a choose your own adventure where investigating the environment is your "choice" rather than blatant actions or questions posed directly to you. Hard to properly tag without also being a spoiler-spoiler:
except at the end

Do note that it's not particularly scary, and gameplay is purely puzzle solving and unraveling the (variable) story. Has pretty good atmosphere considering, but nothing on the level of Lone Survivor which is much more of what you'd expect from survival horror in all regards. It's an interesting experiment in gameplay narrative for $3 but you shouldn't buy it expecting much of anything else. Hard to say much more without spoilers.

So I finally got around to playing Left Behind on TLoU: Remastered and my jaw is on the ground. How is Naughty Dog so good at character interaction!? That's how you do a DLC boys and girls.
