Hawkian, you are one cool dude... seriously.. Starting OT's with your pro guides easily accessible, helping out GAFers in game, teaching and mentoring where ever you can... I hope Bungie catches whim of all your deeds, because they need to give you a trophy, custom emblem, or something.

I'm for a normal or heroic raid if folks are willing.

If we do normal, I'd prefer it if we went for the flawless raider.

aw man thanks a ton. means a lot :)

Helping out GAFers in-game, that's fun stuff for me. i've done a lot of things in Destiny that I have enjoyed, but nothing beats running with GAFers no matter what we're doing.

Had a guy join a Nightfall at the last second, didn't get one kill. He rolled Hard Light. The guy was part of my clan and couldn't apologize enough. Three days later he was still saying he was sorry. I felt bad that he felt so awful about it. Probably would have been a little upset if it was a random.

It happens and after so many hours with the game it doesn't bother me. If he got the Hawkmoon though I'd probably cry.

Know that feeling. Still waiting to get boots for my Titan, then he'll get to 30.

First time I ran the raid with my Warlock, first drop: Tread of the Hezen Lords. :|

Ok, I'm going to actually put some time into my PS4 character today.

He's been neglected while my Xbox One character has tons of raid gear and exotics.

I've been on GAF for a long ass time and I don't think I've ever seen an OT for a single game move as fast as this. Pretty crazy, and no signs of slowing down.

Not being able to pick up the relic despite completing the 'hold to pick up' prompt is intended by our design team and everything is working as it should be. In the meantime, we noticed that Guardians are too easily defeating the present Gatekeeper, thus we'll be adding in a priority update to spawn Hobgoblins behind the entrance of the Vault of Glass to keep groups in the mix at all times.

What's that you say, why going out of the Venus portal and ending up in the Mars portal is completely normal! Just something we've added to enrich the raiding experience.

Level 29 hunter and titan, level 27 warlock. This game is a compulsion in evey sense of the word. I only wish I was young again so I could lose whole days to this beast. Gaming from New Zealand, add PSN: dilume if you looking for another guardian. :)

Blue level 20 armor starts at 13 light and can get you to 15 light (no ass shards needed)

legendary armor starts at 18 light, and the first two defense upgrades get you to 22 light (2+2) without ass shards, then three more defense upgrades get you to 27 light with 6 ass shards for each upgrade that give you 1+2+2 light in that order.

Raid legendary armor is the same as legendary armor except for 6+6+6 shards your last three defense upgrades give you 2+3+3 light for a total of 30 light in that order.

Exotic armor starts at 21 light, can go up to 23 light without shards, and the last three defense upgrades require 8+8+8 shards and get you 2+3+3 light in that order for a total of 30 light.

Ok all done. I was interested in this info and I couldn't find it in any guide. Please correct if it is wrong or missing details. Thanks!

Just wanted to pop in and say that I love the raid. Our little group has found a lot of really cool people online using the different destinylfg websites. I actually hope Bungie doesn't implement matchmaking for raiding. I think people are a bit more pleasant and committed when you have to do a bit of work to get a group going.

We actually ran normal VoG twice last night because we were having such a good time with the raid itself and the people we met.

I have asked here on GAF, but so far I haven't had much luck :( Hopefully I'll get to play with some of you on XB1!

Just beat the Raid for the first time, amazing is all I can say.
Played with an experienced group, so I just tagged along but it still was super awesome.
The cave system, the exploration going on, jump puzzle, yep one of the best MP experiences I've ever had.

Wish more games would take your waypoints away
