Exclusive GTA 5 Content Revealed For PS4, Xbox One and PC

Well fuck, I just discovered that I didn't link my Rockstar account when I played the game a bit on my PS3. Hopefully there will be people available when the time comes who can do the prologue for us.

Says this at the link for the LE/CE buyers:

What about the exclusive in-game content I originally received for purchasing the PS3 or Xbox 360 Special Edition or Collectors Edition last year? Will I be able to access that content on PS4, Xbox One or PC?
Yes, if you purchased the Special Edition or the Collector’s Edition last year, when you upgrade to one of the new systems, you will automatically have those items unlocked and accessible. Those in-game bonuses include the Stunt Plane Trials, Bonus Outfits and Tattoos, and the Pistol .50, Bullpup Shotgun and melee Hammer all for Story Mode use; as well as the Custom Classic GTA Parent Characters and the high-end Khamelion electric car for GTA Online. Furthermore, if you missed out on your chance to buy a CE or SE the last time around, we will also make all of that content available for all players on PS4, Xbox One and PC to earn and acquire with in-game cash (original SE and CE owners will not have to spend any in-game cash to obtain them, they will automatically be accessible upon upgrade).

Hopefully I get all this and the returning player content as I will be going from 360 > PS4.

I was gonna wait on this game but since I can't afford an Xbox One anymore I might as well get this for my PS4. Hopefully I'll sink another 100 plus hours of awesomeness in to this game again. New content seems alright. I've got one request Rockstar. Please put some thought in to your remote play control scheme.

PC users will hack these back into the game so fast. I wouldn't worry about that...

The single player stuff shouldn't be hard. The online stuff will probably be impossible since GTA Online is all server-side. Your online saves aren't even stored locally.

Awww motherfuckin' Mad Max car!! It will be mine.

I always thought a post-apoc DLC in Blaine County with Mad Max cars would be an awesome idea. I guess this is close...lol

I know I give publishers shit about making us sign up for yet another account, but this is a case where I'm happy it happened. There's no way I still have my CE stuff, so it's awesome that it can just pull all this stuff with my social account.

Also helps that the R* social account is always fun to read up on peoples stats since they expose so much on there.

Still no Heists...

GTA Online sucks balls at its core. Heists won't change that. I'd love some single player heist DLC though. Any kind of major story based DLC would be sweet. It's a shame it doesn't look like this game is going to get anything on the scale of TLAD or TBOGT.

I am so glad that I only played the PS3 version for about 40 minutes... this will be glorious for me. :) Rockstar can gladly take my money.

I am pretty much in the same boat. Not sure why I played so little of it. I eventually traded it to Target for $55.

Definitely double dipping on the PS4 version (or PC version if I can wait).

THANK FUCK the Stunt Plane Trails are being given to everybody. I didn't do all of the side activities knowing that when I looked on the Social Club, that would forever be unfinished.

It was also the first listing in whatever selection held those types of activities, too!

Gating this content off for new players makes no sense. Some people didn't buy your game last gen because they weren't sold on your game, Rockstar. Sweeten the pot for everyone, and you might catch some new players. This is what every sensible publisher does with a re-release.

People won't return simply because you made this content exclusive to them: just putting these extras in the game catches any fence sitters who would be swayed into double-dipping. But as a new player, I think I'll wait for a price drop. Because after GTA4, I'm not a huge fan of the franchise, and though I was planning to pick this up day 1, I'll happily hold off for a price drop, if I even bother in a few months.

Knowing this standard re-release content will be on the disc, and I'll be locked out because I didn't play the game twice does not sit well with me as a consumer.

Mmmm.

Pretty sure I didn't sign in to Social Club when I played on the PS3. I'm not even sure if I have such an account, though probably yes.

Fuck.

Nice to finally get an update. Not a ton of new content, but between this and everything that's come out for GTA Online (and brought into SP) there will be a lot more content in the game for those who haven't regularly played since last year or early this year.

Still hoping for some serious DLC, but obviously, no new big DLC will be out come November. Also hoping that they can utilize unused areas of the map like the Casino, prison, college campus, amphitheatre, and the other dozens of locations that looked like they'd be great for mission and side-quest content.

I’m not sure why people are upset about the rewards people are receiving for double dipping. I think it’s awesome that R* is giving us these extras for paying $120.

Since this will tie into the Social Club in some capacity, do we know if you can get these bonuses on PS4 if you played on the 360? Sorry if already asked/answered.

I know, people say how about you reward me for double dipping when companies don't do anything, and when they do people say it doesn't sit right with them.

They really can't win whatever they do.

Topic needs a title adjustment, I came in here all excited and started looking at all the cool stuff on the screens and then I went on to read none of it is for me as a new player. :(

Having this stuff locked away from me simply because I didn't buy the stop-gap last gen version of this actually makes me want to buy the PS4 version on day one less now.

Feel more like waiting for it to be reduced a bit if I'm going to be served reduced content for not having bought the game twice.

So people who waited for the PC or a next gen console release get none of this?

PC version will somehow get an unlocker, I'm sure. Replace files with some other files and boom unlocked.

You do know there will probably be more new content for all players and that eventually this content will be available for all players. It's just an incentive.

I guess anybody with a PS3/360 and GTA V can set you guys up to get the content.

Get creative.

It sounds like this will probably be the final news update before Nov 18:

There will also be a bounty of content for all players, new and returning, to discover - including a fleet of classic GTA vehicles and a few more surprises we've got planned that you’ll have to discover for yourself come game day.

But then...

... however do stay tuned for more updates to be made available for Grand Theft Auto Online across all platforms and we’ll have more information on that soon.

I really just want good matchmaking in GTA Online. I want to be able to:
- Create a party (gang, whatever) with some friends
- Hit "Play Capture" or "Play Deathmatch" or "Play blah blah" and then be matched up in other online modes with other players just like every other online game made in the last 10 years.

As far as I know, this simple requirement of online games is beyond GTA.

Not sure what the point is of locking these features behind social club. I'm not even sure I made an account when I played through the PS3 version.

That is exactly the point though. Rockstar wants to encourage more and more people to use the Social Club, and by making it clear with each new release that there is a content-driven incentive to be active with their Social Club, they hope to get most people who play their games to have accounts.
