Gamersyde posts footage of all games in the MCC

If you are eagerly waiting for tonight's livestream (10:15 p.m. CET), you should be more than satisfied to see that we have some direct feed videos of Halo: The Master Chief Collection to share with you right now. 1080p, 60 frames per second and heroic mode (except for the Halo 2 videos, Gravemind being pretty nightmarish on this difficulty setting) are in the menu today, so we hope you'll enjoy! As for tonight, you should know that those who'll be quick enough to access our own GSY livestream instead of Twitch will be able to watch our footage at 60 fps.
Link.

14 videos. 60fps.

This is what I recommended last week! All game footage in the industry should be run through Gamersyde first.

Fantastic, didn't think gamersyde was going to get "pre-launch" footage from the way Blim was talking about it a couple days ago.

I kind of expected more enhancements after 2 generations. But I guess it really does showcase how amazing Halo was for its time. (and of course 1080p/.60fps is a huge enhancement...)

Downloading via the bittorrent links, those are some large video files.

This game cannot arrive soon enough, seeing this footage is either going to make the wait easier or more difficult - I'm not sure which.

MS has done things right so far this season with both Sunset Overdrive and now Halo MCC. It's a refreshing change from the past few years :)

High Charity looks so good. I'd be satisfied watching 1080p 60fps videos of the whole campaign when it comes out. I don't see myself buying a current gen console anytime soon :(

I think the remaster looks pretty good regardless.

oh absolutely. I guess my point was more that when they cut back to the original Xbox graphics, I was left looking at it and saying, "damn, that still looks pretty fucking good!" I guess I forgot how good that game looked for its time.

Yeah hopefully that was just a glitch in the encoding process and isn't a representation of how the game actually played.

Sorry to say this is not a capture issue. Also the cutscenes animations are 30 fps, including camera motion, but rendered at 60, so it looks all strange and jerky.

is there something wrong with the halo 1 footage? it stutters like crazy.

edit: oh, that sucks. out of all the games, i expected h1 to have no framerate issues.

Halo 2 Campaign looks really good here. I remember it not looking good when I originally tried playing it around 2007, so this is a welcome change.

They should patch in a 30fps lock on cutscenes then. I'm sure it would look better at 30fps without glitches than 60fps and glitchy.

At least all the gameplay parts seem top notch.

They are running two graphics engines at the same time.

H2A multiplayer looks really good.

This is what I've been waiting for. Fuck that crappy IGN player. I will watch this on my TV as I always do. Shame that my TV refuses to play any 1080p60fps video through an USB device, so I will have to convert them using MEgui.

This is what I recommended last week! All game footage in the industry should be run through Gamersyde first.

Amen.

Can you record some splitscreen footage?

I want to know if splitscreen still retains the 60fps and also if Halo 3 and Halo 4 have vertical borders like in the original versions.

Just the cutscene animations are 30 I believe, gameplay/MP animations were moved to 60 according to one of the IGN first videos or from Frankie.

Don't remember where I heard that from though.

I noticed that they were corrected during gameplay, but the cutscenes are still a issue imo. Still hyped either way.

Hmmm my hype went through dangerously high levels this morning when I watched the cutscenes video but jut got knocked down a bit by watching these gameplay videos. I mean, they look good and all but I don't know, I expected a bit more perhaps?

Yeah I already saw this in some earlier footage. Makes it look really weird.

I have never played Halo 2 but compared to the footage of Halo 1 Anniversary and the other Halo games I'm not impressed. It feels like it still have a layer of oldness over it idk. The particle effects didn't even get replaced.

Sunset and Advanced Warfare will keep me more than occupied until this unlocks, until then I will keep these videos playing on my phone as I play them.
