Try and guess

It's Halo?

I know people like Halo and all. But I see so many posts saying people want/will buy a XBO for this? This bit baffles me as I thought people would rather buy a XBO when the new Halo comes out.
Perhaps I'm not that into remakes/remasters/etc. For example, if/when the rumored Uncharted remasters are released, I wouldn't go out and buy a PS4.

I just don't get it I guess.

Did they change the multiplayer of the older games or keep it exact? Like in capture the flag is it back to 1 team has a flag and the other is trying to get it over different rounds or both teams have flags now?

*this is a question my brother asked, I have no idea about Halo!*

When you and a friend hop into Warthogs and ram into each other on Blood Gulch (Halo CE), do they fly off in random directions?

60fps. ill most likely be buying an X1 for this game for that sole reason.

is the same in Halo 1 so far. Halo 2 was still installing.

Do the Halo 1 maps have options to disable the PC stuff? I noticed that Blood Gulch has the banshee and rocket warthog, and other maps have the flamethrower.

I called one place in LA and they told me Monday. I know of another store I should call tomorrow. If you could pm me where you got it.

I'm sure this has been asked / answered ages ago, but, is there a playlist that lets you play all 100+ maps? Or are you bound to play either Halo Ce maps or halo 2 maps etc. depending on the game you pick?

Halo is the series that pushed shooters on consoles out of laughing stock territory and holds a TON of nostalgia with a lot of people from middle/high school and college days. One of the best multiplayer shooters ever too.

Basically, that's the deal.

I'm so hyped for this, have recently had a play through of the original xbox version for a warm up and to ease the wait. You're lucky OP, wish I had those games now.

Maybe this isn't important to most people, but I had a problem with Halo CE Anniversary's updated graphics because the art style and color palette were drastically changed (for the worse, mostly). Rails on the outer surface of Halo, bright lights in formerly dark and creepy indoor areas, atmospheric fog completely removed from caverns and canyons, excessive detail on all the Forerunner stuff that used to be made of simple monolithic metal walls...

How does Halo 2's graphical upgrade compare? Does it feel like a tasteful update or a garish reinvention of the old art?

general question here. Has anyone super bounced or talked about it happening yet? I know they've said the glitches are still there, but they haven't really touched that subject right?

Is it better than the PS4 version?

No, because - console parity.

All jokes aside, Halo has some great lore and music. Certainly wouldn't mind buying the X1 for this. Kinda wish ODST and Reach were included with this collection cuz those 2 games have a lot of soul put into them. Liked those two outliers better than 3.

I know Halo 2 is still installing but I'm wondering if glitches like super jump and how you could lunge across the map with a sword are still in?

In H2 is the magnum crappy like it was at launch in that game or is it beefed up?

Are the gametype editors from those original games still intact?

What's the max player count for multiplayer on H1? 16 like I remember it being in Halo PC?

If you are talking about Halo 2 then no, they are porting the Vista PC version so super bouncing is gone.

Having seen most of the Campaign; Halo 2 is vastly more faithful. This is partially because Halo 2 geometry was generally more detailed than Halo CE geometry; so there was less room for experimentation. A couple of the large and dark vistas are unusually bright, but otherwise the game looks absolutely amazing from my perspective. (I'm a diehard Halo 2 Campaign fan)

Even looking at the Halo ring in H2A vs Halo CEA is a good example of the quality of the new remaster.

Because even today the multiplayer is among the best. Now it's dedicated servers

This may be widely known, but does halo and halo 2 have 4 player coop online? I didnt think it did since there was only 2 player before, but a buddy of mine said it did.
