The pics in this thread are too much for me. He was a good comedian and a better person, he knew people, he understood human nature and made us laugh about ourselves. He was simply a genius. RIP, maestro.

He was hilarious. Truly a legend. And also timeless. My little sister (4) is growing up on the show and she loves it. RIP Mr. Bolanos.

Damn, El Chavo (or Chaves, here), had such a pure, inoccent kind of humor... I'm glad I grew up watching his shows. Rest in Peace.

I can't believe it, he was the man , he defined a big part of my childhood and most of my closest friends grew up watching his creations too. Your legacy y tu astucia will forever live in our hearts. :(

wow, I'm just sad, I knew he wasn't in the best of health recently but still sad to hear...I will always remember El Chapulin Colorado, it was part of my childhood. Rest in Peace.

CHAVO, NOOOOOOOO!!!!

I saw el chavo when I was a kid and always dreamed of going to meet him in person at the various circus' they had around the area...

Chaves and Chapolin are awesome. Very human characters and well writing episodes. I like Chapolin even more because has a lot of references from history.

Title should be changed to (a.k.a. the biggest, best and most influential latin american comedian)

Roberto was a legend, his creations will continue to make Latin America laugh way beyond his death.

Chaves (El Chavo in Brazil) was a legend here in my contry. Even the imortal Pele loves him. R.I.P great legend of humor.

The four of the troupe who have passed away.

Chespirito is part of the culture, everyone knows the various lines and jokes and catchprases, and it's all still relevant.

I was born after Kiko and Don Ramón left, and would watch the show every Monday night on channel 2 in Mexico City for years until I moved to California. Then I got to see all the reruns my mother used to enjoy when she was young. My dad had complete Chavo and Chapulin albums of comics stickers and stamps, wish I still had those.

Loved all the characters. I am watching right now some reruns from the 70´s and boy are they refreshing and genuinely make me laugh.

Condolences to his loved ones, and may he rest in peace.

Tenia que ser el chavo del 8.

Thanks for all the joy, all the laughs, for making me happy and for giving me such amazing childhood i will never forget.
The great thing about this show is that even today i can watch it, enjoy and laugh just like i did when i was young.
He was a legend here in Argentina. I also went to see al Profesor Girafales when he came to my city.

Que en paz descanses.

EDIT: So good.

Wow, RIP. This man was a legend of the truest sense. Loved the fact that his humor was clean and accessible to all.

El Chapulin was better than El Chavo, too, imo.
