They did something a little different this time (initially only offering it free to some people) but historically once the first episode drops to free, it stays free. There is a slight chance it won't be perm so grab it now if you already haven't just to be safe.

+1 (OK, not every Tuesday - it's Wednesday now - but I usually remember)

Also, another recommendation for Enslaved - it's brilliant. Whenever I see people knocking it the only complaint is that it has simplistic combat - it certainly doesn't have massive depth but whilst simple it's satisfying and fun. But also, the game is beautiful, the characters are brilliant and getting around is a lot of fun. Its far more interesting and ambitious than an awful lot of games and definitely worthy of your time.

One of the best character action games of last gen IMO, so yes!!! So long as you don't have any emotional attachment to previous Devil May Cry games, you should enjoy it!! I think there's a demo available, maybe try before you buy, if you're unsure :)

Everyone should give Brothers a go - can't really say anything without spoiling but its one of the most stunning game experiences I've had.

It's a good sale, just not very interesting to me. What I care the most about on the Xbox 360 store are XBLA (and XBLIG) games, but recently the sales' focus has been on GoD games. I don't care about them as much since I can (and usually do) get them in their physical editions, whereas most XBLA games are only available in the digital form.

Or better, is there any place to track pricing on Xbox One? For the 360 there is the incredibly useful xbldb, but I did not find anything similar to that for the One.

Nope. There's the games thread and the monthly thread.

edit, I think there is one (it might just list the regional pricing differences *shrug*) . Check the thread about buying from other regions/international stores or ask in one other those two threads^^.

Finally some damn good deals for non-Gold subscribers. Valiant Hearts and Burnout: Paradise will be so bought although I feel like the former is going to be cheaper next month as part of a Christmas sale so I don't know. I might wait a bit long on Trials Fusion for another sale. I might renew my Gold subscription on Friday since a year card is gonna be 35 bucks. Strider at $7.50 is a damn good deal.

I second checking out Brothers. It's a damn good game with beautiful levels and nice little details. I would also recommend folks check out Bulletstorm even though the MP community on 360 is extinct at this point (I imagine a tiny minority still plays it on PC). It's hands down one of the most fun FPS last gen. I absolutely had a blast with it.

i might rebuy skate 1 out of pure nostalgia...played it back in the day and it had a great city and vibe to it although i'm sure the mechanics will be a little jarring at first. 2 was great but i played the shit out of it. 3 i still have on disc. but all 3 are fantastic games IMO. i guess i could only recommend the 3rd one because i think it's the only one that still has online (?)

I just looked at the Xbox page for Catherine...is this something so absurd and silly you could play it with a non gamer friend and laugh and have a good time with? Or does it cross the line where they'd just think wtf is this creepy shit? I always thought it was just a persona like game but it almost looks like it might be a parody of those games ..

Also what is toy box mode?

It is a puzzle game with an anime like inter puzzle story. The story is prety good, an you can look for the puzzle solutions/easy more.

Toy Story 3 is awesome. It's possibly the best kids' game out there. I rented it as an adult and really enjoyed it, especially Toy Box.

It's not too, too taxing, and is pretty easy to pick up. Although some of the questing may require some help.

Cars 2 is also really solid

I wish Cars or LEGO Pirates were sub-$10, because I'd maybe bite. Rented both but didn't finish them.
