So this is what it feels like to not shit the bed in big games, this is nice.

I'm terrified of Meyer and the staff, really hope it starts getting picked apart soon.

They actually did have 2 games where they faced 8 men in the box non-stop and Stave did step up and have fantastic days passing. I think one game he went 17-17 at one point. But yeah, he's still kinda shit.
Having no viable WR at all doesn't help. But they definitely need a decent QB.

Remember Russell Wilson? Ah that was a good year.

I honestly put alot of hte blame on the wrs, I watched Wisconsin-Rutgers live at the stadium, and there was one time McEvoy threw a perfect strike on a bomb to the wr, and the wr .... just did the worst adjustment to the ball ever.

not enough weeks to do this. Between the CCG and the bowls, I believe there are finals. Go any further than middle January, and football becomes a 2 semester sport, and the schools won't let that happen.

Well, the obvious thing that needs to happen is 8-team playoff with the first round games at the higher-seeded team's home field in December. The 5 conference champs + 3 at-large teams.

Then you go to the semis in the bowl games and then NCG a week later.

Golden Domers are chickenshit!!

I remember Russell Wilson playing at NC State then sitting out a year for some reason before going pro.

I wonder how many committee members won't be back next year due to the stress and pressure

you mean it'll just be Archie Manning alone, choosing the playoff teams? Sounds ok to me.

No substitutes or replacements, as proven because they went ahead this year with Archie missing the whole thing.

It really would be a nightmare situation for both the CFB and the Big 12.

Watch them invite Cincinnati and Memphis tomorrow.
I heard about this radio Nashville "insider" report. I'd destroy my liver with the alcohol.

I admit they do make sense given their proximity to WVU. But goddamn does their support suck ass outside of basketball.

I'm not shitting on Baylor for the record, but the committee sure is. If I had to guess I'd say bama tosu Oregon and fsu. TCU and Baylor out. Just because they don't want to pick from those two and piss people off. They will just piss off the big 12. Lol

what really needs to happen is an 8 team playoff w/ 3 play-in games for the right to lose against the top 3 seeds.

All 14 spots would be held by Southeastern Conference universities, natch.

Ridiculous consistency from the top teams this year. It is kind of crazy. Nobody in talks for the playoffs has lost in like 5 weeks.

It'd be a damn shame if we don't have a chance in January. Lose two potential Heisman candidates at one position, play basically nothing but Freshman and Sophmores, have an absurd amount of injuries and still perform better than almost everyone.

E: Also, in Urban doesn't win every possible award he can it'll be a joke.

Loses heisman front runner at start of season replaced with JT.

JT goes on to 11-1 season and heisman worthy, loses him and replace with a QB who wins the B1G CG MVP. Truly unbelievable, meanwhile Urban still didnt win B1G coach of the year.

the committee should just go "oh you don't want to declare one champion Bowlsby? then we'll put in neither"

That's still ridiculous, though.

The committee had TCU 3, Baylor 6 last week. It's as if they already decided TCU was better. If the Big XII names Baylor as champion, what difference should that really make?

Again, the committee did themselves a disservice last week if TCU's position wasn't solid. Sure, be fluid, rank people "fresh" every week, but they have to see the end game. They have to have an idea of what they'll do once the entire season plays out, particularly in the week of the conference championships. If TCU isn't solidly in, you can't have them at 3. If an undefeated Florida State has no chance (and I'm not saying this is true) of dropping out, you can't have them at 4.

It should either be 1/2 Bama/Oregon (flip a coin), 3 TCU, 4 Florida State or Ohio State, or last week should have been 1 Bama 2 Oregon 3 FSU 4 TCU.

TCU dropping 2 slots for doing nothing wrong would just be absolutely bonkers.

This is the most crazy thing.

Not afraid to say, 2011 & 2012 Alabama needed multiple top teams to lose in the last month to make the championship games.

Geography unfortunately (well for Rutgers FORTUNATELY) does matter a ton. The "island issue" WVU faces are quite legit for all non revenue sports.

lol dropping TCU from 3 to 6 in a week ain't gonna happen.
If TCU falls from the top 4 it doesn't matter where they're ranked. Baylor will be the Big 12's representative over TCU to whatever top bowl the Big 12 goes to.

So awesome that we will get four conferences represented this year too. So glad we don't have two SEC teams going.

Loved Jones' statement there too. MVP goes to all of us.

Nice speech, kid.

Ugh, going to be tough going in the B1G next year for teams against those QBs!

I am so excited about these playoffs. How fun. Even arguing over 4 teams is so much better than 2 also.

Picking one bad team (like a lot of people think FSU is) won't mean a completely shit NC. So awesome.

People are making wayyy too big a deal about that #3 ranking for TCU. It's a weekly thing, people.

tOSU won a major conference championship, emphatically with its third string QB against a fantastic defense with an amazing O-line.at #13

I could honestly see OSU flipping to 3, TCU to 5.

Either way going to be tons of salty people tomorrow.
