What does "re-imagining" mean? HD remaster?
Definitely not that. The game is being made from scratch.
I think what they mean is probably close to a reboot, but not a reboot that completely changes everything. Character peronalities etc may stay the same, story may remain similar, but probably closer to whatever story they're doing for the movie. Game scenarios, weapons etc may be ramped up compared to the first game after having the knowledge of developing many R&C games over the years,
Usually when you say "reboot" it means critical elements of the series are being reworked into something different, characters are changing etc. That's not happening here, this is going to be like a traditional Ratchet & Clank game, but it is different enough to not be called a remake, and not different enough to be called a reboot.
I doubt it. The R&C Future series on the PS3 was 60 fps.
Insomniac, after making Crack In Time, said they're pushing for graphical fidelity and 30fps, rather than go after 60fps from that point on. Into the Nexus, part of the Future series that released after CiT, is 30fps.
All 4 One was also 30fps.
Fuse and sunset overdrive were also 30. At this point, It is really doubtful any new insomniac game is going to be 60. I don't mind as long as it's a solid 30fps though, Sunset Overdrive felt really smooth, the 2 hours that I played it.
