the matchmaking for the past two wars have been horrendous. the other clan clearly outclass us in terms of base quality. not much we can do but just get some practice in.

hogs are pretty much the only other way. I have been doing gowipe but it's just not fast enough with that army size and spell size.

speaking of mismatched wars, we just got paired against a reddit tryhard clan. They have TH9 all the way down to their 20s. We have like 14 TH9 with two being TH10. WTF Supercell?

I conclude hogs is the only way. Dragons can 3 star TH8s, but if lv. 6 AA's are in the center of the base, there's almost no chance.

gowipe is a consistent 2 star attack for bases that are equal and higher than your base, but rarely does it ever 3 star unless the target's base is lower than yours.

Yeah, just not enough troops space for wizards. Hogs need to be level 4 though otherwise it's a crap shoot.

I will go through after this war and do some serious kicking of people not using their attacks.

There are other issues as well. Like players giving up the moment they see we are behind and not participating or using both attacks. Can't have a comeback if no one uses their attacks.



We also have players who attack above what they can reliably 2/3 star so they can ninja 1 star and loot in the case of a win. It wasn't a big deal when we were winning, but not that we have lost a few in a row it has to stop.

I kinda think the whole clan needs to be redone and have a limit on TH to be 6 or 7 and make sure they're not rushed too hard. Also, it seems like we have people in the clan who don't even know about GAF :/

The reason I left the clan was due to all the unused attacks during war. I moved on to a clan with mandatory attacks and faring better.

Well to be fair, I have left my second attack in multiple wars when we are clearly lost. However I think that the lower level players should try to do both attacks as soon as possible and then higher and higher on the player list. The top lvl players should do (at least their second) attacks last so they can mop up rather then gamble. A lot of wars the enemy have low level players with stars left, which are easy grabs for higher level players. I mean it's obviously better to grab 1 (or in some cases even two or three) "easy" stars rather then gamle for "hard" stars and maybe fail. A lot of wars can be won without even touching the top enemy players or at least with only a few stars among them.

Anyway, I will be leaving on vacation on the 26th and will be back home on the 13th, so I will leave the clan on friday. I'll stay until then and help donating as much as I can and then leave. I will practice when I can during the holiday and then I will be back (if I'm let in) to the clan when I'm back home :)

I used giants and healers all the way up to TH9. Their companions change a little depending on the goal, but early on it was archers and goblins, later on wizards, barbs, archers, a few goblins and minions (I love those minions, they have won many attacks for me). Of course the king and the queen as well :)

set up a chat group and enforce attack plans and people reserving bases to attack and asking for advice. Some of the bigger clans use apps like this pretty much because the chat is unreliable to find things etc. and you can get into this app without it looking like a game when you shouldn't be playing games :p

Is there a classy way to ask for a meaningless title like Elder? Because I've donated something like 1500 troops at this point and am helping the new chaps with basic advice. Not saying, just saying. Or Co Leader or whatever.

Can I join? What is clan name? Don't see in first posts or quick skim of last few pages, sorry. I'm a level 74 base, and am decent. Always will be active in war, and I'm just finishing all upgrades on TH8. Everything researched, just upgrading more defenses.

I havent been on in weeks due to my phone being mega jacked up and dont know when it'll be fixed so consequently don't know when I'll be back.

Sorry for all that, someone could boot me for now if I'm still in the war rotation

Only 100mil gold till max th8 walls.

I think I may just start th9 upgrade in a couple weeks otherwise I'll be th8 til next winter.

I've actually grown to like the solo play of boom beach more. Fighting over resource bases, the "bosses", and being able to control troops and use your ship during attacks are all fun things that BB added. Clash was their first big hit, so with BB they were able to add little QoL things to improve the game which make it fun in its own way. In BB, you only have one "builder," but I've found the game to be much less grindy and you're constantly getting diamonds from the map.

I haven't really messed with the operations/clans stuff in BB, but it's the one thing that is inferior to Clash by a large margin. A large part of the fun for me in Clash are the Clan Wars. Raiding in both games has its perks. If I hadn't started Clash so long ago, I'd probably just play BB though, tbh.

Awesome, thanks. I always have trouble getting into fantasy themed stuff, but I wanted a game like CoC, and BB seems to be filling that void nicely. I'm just always tempted to try out CoC when I've run out of stuff to do in BB for a few hours haha.

But I'll just most likely stick with jusy BB then, I think one of these types of games is enough. And yeah the pacing seems well enough even with the F2P stuff. I just started the task force stuff, so I hope it ends up being cool in the long term cause I have a friend in it with me.

Is there no OT for Boom Beach btw? Seems a bit odd.

I don't think it was a thread. I just made a post about our task force in here. Active members are always welcome.

I've been thinking about restructuring it though, since we have quite a few inactive members. With the way Task Forces are I think it hinders our rewards since a lot of people don't both with attacks, so I'll have to look into it a bit more and see what the difference would be between Task Force sizes of 5, 10, and 20.

I've maxed TH7 except for Barbarian King (currently level 2) and DE troop lab upgrades. I don't plan on going to TH8 for now. A lot of you seem to have gotten burned out at TH8+.

The best part is that I no longer worry about elixir, so I can do ridiculously unprofitable revenge attacks like this:

Edit: matchmaking is much worse in bb than coc, have a level 33 on my map, I am level 16. Wtf. Almost everyone I can hit is considerably stronger than me...

Anyone here play Clash of Gangs and can compare the two? CoC is obviously more polished, but I just hate fantasy stuff. I've been playing both and I can't decide which one to go with.

I despise 99% 2 stars.

Like.... I would rather flub an attack and get 0 than die inside watching my dragons inch towards that last building in the corner.

this is a weird update, 5x speed for barbs and drags. going to crash the elixer market, particularly for th8s who can't pour elixer into walls and don't have much use for it outside of lab upgrades.

People not chatting isn't the same thing as being dead.

Most players are still active, but a lot don't chat much since well.... we have gaf to chat on.
