Well thats one way to get the hype train moving. I don't agree with it being the biggest game of the year though.

Very true, but even on it's own merits I don't feel it'll top things like Arkham Knight, Witcher 3, No Man's Sky MGSV, Zelda, Xenoblade or Persona 5.
It's still going to hopefully be awesome though.
It can best all of those, critically and possibly commercially(only Arkham Knight and MGSV might sell more).
Why do people get so aggrieved and frustrated just because the article calls Uncharted 4 "the biggest game of the year"?
Yes, there are several other games coming out this year that also looks like game of the year material, we all know that and the discussion over which game is supposedly "the biggest" is meaningless and not the topic of the thread.
Calling it the "biggest game of the year" is such a stupid thing to say, especially when there will be so many bigger titles this year.
MGSV for example will beat the shit out of it with content and sales.
That being said I'm sure it will be a good game but "biggest" is definitely the wrong word for UC4.
If MGSV does it will only be because of multiplatform status. Length means jack when it comes to awards, but even then Uncharted has very long lasting multiplayer communities. Looking at your avatar it's no surprise you feel slighted. MGSV is right there with Uncharted in my most anticipated games though.
Lot of talk about whether this is the biggest game of the year or not, I suppose that depends on the metrics are being used, but in terms of GAF's most anticipated?

He's not slighted, he's on a mission on every freaking Uncharted thread. Yet again.

Yeah nice name duder.
Just saying how things are or would you disagree?

Yes - arguably on content. Not on sales. If it were still a PS exclusive, I would disagree on that too.

"arguably on conent" fine I'll bite. So let's hear it, how in the blue hell does UC4 looks to have more content than MGSV?
Even Troy Baker (who is also in Uncharted 4) said "MGSV may be the biggest game I've ever seen."
Arguing about the headline of an article instead of it's game design philosophy-filled contents is so Gaming Section.
Anyway, the dynamism and natural flow being implemented to traversal and climbing is really exciting, I hope they can pull it off. I also hope the younger designers at ND are paying very close attention to Bruce Straley and taking on his ideals, dude knows his shit.
Most anticipated != Biggest.
Yep, that is how it works. When a cinema magazine refers to a movie as the biggest movie of the year, it generally highlights the fact that it is an ambitious, highly anticipated piece of work.
Why are people shitting the thread and clinging to a mere superlative anyway? Doesn't the author have the right to express his excitement? Is he obliged to name drop some of your favorite franchises so that you could sleep tight? You would think that Uncharted was some insignificant franchise, and that ND a second rate developer with no possible claim to the GOTY prize! Wake up and smell the coffee...
The author has the right to express his exciment as users have the right to disagree.

What is there to disagree with, exactly? The game has not even released for God's sake. Now, you are arguing over the right dose of excitement that someone else is allowed to experience. That is stupid, sorry. And, what's more, this is not even the heart of the article. So, instead of decrying the author's tastes, over what many consider a really fuc**** big franchise, from a studio that swept two GOTY prizes last gen...well, how about we go back to the actual content of the piece?

On the same note though, Halo 4 sucked on that score (As well as most others) and that is so far the sole game 343 has actually produced so far. I think you're maybe giving them a bit too much credit when there's a fair argument to be made that have really yet to prove themselves capable of making a decent game.
You and Gries be sure to give yourselves a pat on the back.
First of, calm the fuck down.
Second, I'm not arguing the right dose of excitement. I'm arguing the term 'big' as a definition of a game.
Is Uncharted 4 a big game of 2015? No one can't disagree on that. Is Uncharted 4 the biggest game of 2015? No, it isn't.
And that's my opinion. The same way the Author thinks it is. I don't see the problem with it.
I have a feeling we might see a repeat of the UC3 review thread if it doesn't get showered with 10/10sWell thats one way to get the hype train moving. I don't agree with it being the biggest game of the year though.
I'm almost scared to see what the MGS crowd does if it doesn't score 90+ on MC. Same with Zelda. The meltdowns and attacks from people who haven't even played any of those games will be hilarious.I have a feeling we might see a repeat of the UC3 review thread if it doesn't get showered with 10/10s
"Biggest game of the year" they say...i'd say MGSV, Halo 5, and maybe even The Witcher 3 could be define bigger than Uncharted 4, especially after the disappointing Uncharted 3

Quick, link this thread in the MGS Community thread for recruitment. We are diamond dogs!
