The bad AI on display with the lack of enemy variety is such a disappointment to see. Hate when ally AI doesn't do shit, pulls you right out of the immersion of what the characters are meant to be.

Those lycan sections looks like a bad version of the awesome stalker dogs in Dead Space 2:

I disagree with his comments on the black bars (great FOV) and film grain (doesn't hurt the visuals at all).

Aside from that this game is shit and the folks at RAD need to wake up and smell the coffee. The poor story, character development and writing are just the cherry on top. How clueless.

Yeah I only watched it knowing I wasn't going to play it. Though to be honest you can get a good impression of whether it's for you in the first few minutes I think.

That depends if you only use reviews as buyer guides only and not just criticism overall. Often times, criticism later on of a game can be more relevant when you're past the launch hype window and not rushing for a deadline. This is pretty off-topic anyway, long-form video reviews/critiques are a thing (Matthewmatosis, Errant Signal, Super Bunnyhop, and more).

Enemies and allies shooting at each other from behind cover can be so bad it's hilarious, like in Max Payne 3, Call of Duty, and plenty of other AAA shooters. It's more a surprise when allies actually get kills by themselves.

Didn't play the game, but by the review, the score is pretty consistent
Also Joe uses the entire scale, so a 4 out of 10 is a below average game... In some sites it would be maybe a 7

The stuff he says about the lycans not showing up enough is just BS IMO. I actually thought that they showed up too much. I mean, if you spent the whole game fighting lycans they would completely lose their mystery and scariness. It'd just be "oh, another pack of lycans, nothing special".

EDIT: I do agree that defeating them was a little too easy, though.
