People are streaming "shows" via PS4 twitch..

This is seriously disgraceful, sorry. I mean isn't there enough porn on the internet for people? Why do we have to take such great gaming machines and boil them down to "look, another way to share porn yo!".

I'm crying at this thread right now.

Can we just get a mod to close this thread down please so people stop bumping it because "tits"?

Thread whining?

Yep, thread whining.

I agree. They are what I call "low lifes." Certain "physialistic" activities are meant to be kept in private. There should be a way to permanently ban the accounts of those individuals engaging in activities you wouldn't want your 5 year old daughter watching.

So you want to ban everyone streaming E(10+), T, M or A rated games?

How about you use parental controls to stop your 5 yo from accessing streams, or the Internet in general?

I seen someone streaming the making of the last of us the other night and a few days before that I seen a behind the scenes look at the making of assassins creed. It was awesome.

indeed - and as a reward, expect more updates to make it awesome!

Sony isn't thinking about removing Playroom from streaming are they? I know there alot of streams where people do crazy things but it's nothing you can't already find on the internet. Most streaming on Ustream are just people having a good time or having a conversation with the viewers.

And i'm sure it's one of the reasons, no, it's THE reason why you guys are selling so many cameras. Once a PS4 owner goes to the live Playstation area and see's how cool it is to stream yourself with Playroom, interest in buying a camera has gone up.

I wonder if it's possible to update it where you're able watch multiple streams? Or somebody could invite their friend to broadcast with them?

DemomNite, is Sony aware of how many people are utilizing The Playroom for gaming talk shows? When you say awesome updates is it to improve the app for people that do talk shows? For example making it so that you can mute the Playroom music? Or unmirror the stream only for the viewers?

A crazy batman is streaming on Ustream

The other night Spartan Show had a viewerbot in his channel to shoot his viewer count up from about 20 to around 445.

My, how the mighty have fallen.

What is a viewer bot? I assume it's exactly what it sounds like, someone pumping up their viewer count with software? How are others able to tell they're doing it if that's the case?

I almost hate to do this, but I'm curious if anyone on GAF watches our show called The Level Up Show? If so, do you guys enjoy what we do and is there anything you guys suggest for improving the show moving forward?

We're on Episode 40 and we have a pretty decent following each week. It's a ton of fun for us, but obviously we're trying to reach more and more people as time moves on.

When are you on? I'm always using this feature to watch people. Mostly on weekends.
Is it 3 dudes usually?

Three guys and my wife Kristen also joins us more as a moderator. We;re on Sundays at 10 PM ET (7 PM PT). We archive our videos on YouTube if you need a visual:

I hope it doesn't come off like I'm advertising/promoting. Just looking for feedback.

*Edit*

Just realized it probably makes the most sense to post our Twitch: twitch.tv/thelevelupshow

You guys have a nice setup there.

Would be nice if Sony could implement a bulletin board for the livestreaming regulars. Like a built in guide for the Live from PS app.

Yeah Sony definitely improved with the new AR Studio update, but there is still so much they could do. I think my biggest request would be adding a follow button for Twitch directly within the Live From PlayStation app. That would be a major help. Would also be amazing if we could play videos live on stream that didn't have to be from the PS4. I'd love to be able to play our intro in full screen at the beginning of each episode. We'd also love to do off-show content like recording launch events with interviews and such, then playing it live during the show for people to watch. We have tons of ideas; we're just restricted in what we can do right now.

And thank you for the compliment as well. Glad you like our new "studio."

Also don't mind saying this since it's for a great cause. I'm sure many of you guys know about ExtraLife. It's a game-a-thon to raise money for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals all around the United States. We're playing to raise money towards Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and if anyone wants to donate, you can find our team's page here:

http://www.extra-life.org/index.cfm?fuseaction=donordrive.participant&participantID=93938

More importantly though, the big ExtraLife event is on October 25th. Us along with many other shows and streams will be doing a 24-hour straight marathon to raise as much money as possible. So keep an eye on Live From PlayStation and on Twitch in general that day to find streams that are trying to raise money. Thanks GAF!

I'd like to start by saying thank you for the feedback and comments. Now let's let the tale unfold..

A long time ago in a virtual world not so far away we started a Twitch stream from the PlayStation 4 known as The Spartan Show. We had no idea what it was or what it would entail but we quickly learned about internet gaming culture phenomenon known as Twitch.

The stream was initially launched to allow a few close friends to watch as we modified a DualShock®4 Wireless Controller for PlayStation®4 . This grew exponentially and soon we realized that the viewers wanted us to be a talk show. After countless articles and a viral spread we became a target.

Our home address, personal phone numbers, names of our family members, and even tax documentation was leaked. With the help of some federal officials we were quickly able to silence most of it. After receiving multiple threatening letters in the mail and an endless amount of electronic harassment, we decided it was time to move.

That's what started The Spartan Show. But we're back (with a new focus) and hope that you'd tune in to catch our live podcast dedicated to controversial gaming topics. Some of our content includes playthroughs, news, reviews, previews, and interviews. You can watch us on twitch at http://twitch.tv/thespartanshow or even follow us on twitter @thespartanshow

C'mon dude, your rebroadcasts aren't a viable revenue stream. Major turnoff.

Damn...I had no idea you were attacked like that near the beginning. That's terrible. I really hope you've been able to move passed that now and are no longer receiving threats. We've had a few hacks and DDOS's, but nothing on that level, thank God.

Good luck with the new venture!
