People are streaming "shows" via PS4 twitch..

well the charity or "good cause" streams are just as bad, like the entire 24 hour Tested stream which was literally a 24 hour radio show.

how ever all that occurred prior to the PS4 even coming out and this sudden selective TOS enforcement because a few people were breaking the rules, so lets pat our self's on the back with a huge PR letter about our guidelines....except any twitch partners or other select cases where we look the other way...like when a guy is the top stream on the entire site but is openly interacting with DDOS'ers and not actually gaming at all and has his chat set to subs only which causes a bunch of people to pay to "get in on the fun of chatting"

oh thats fine cause we get a cut of that sub money and advertizement money...oh BUT WE HATE DDOS'ers grrr 20 second delay in chat cause we're really serious about stream integrity!

Yup people doing live action Porn = People talking abouts games instead of playing them.

Allow me to play the worlds smallest violin for you.

and now comes the biggest of strawman arguments, reguardless of the fact the FAQ specifically states a FEW minutes talking is okay, but the majority of your streams need to be gaming.

oh but atleast they're not showing porn!

well now that's gone,so whats the excuse now?

Maybe because most of the bigger streams have shown to provide gaming content actually related to gaming even if they are not directly playing a game, and thus get leway?

I am sure you spend 100% of your time on twitch on EVERY stream cateloging which streamer isn't playing a game or not im sure. Why don't you show your empirical and non-biased findings for the rest of the class?

considering there are 3 individual 1 hour streams on Total biscuit's channel since the last Podcst, which was 3 hours in length

i dont see that evens itself out, regardless of the fact if he was streaming 24 hours every single day of nothing but games, and then took 3 hours to do the podcast, its still against the rules, because that exact scenario is specifically listed in the TOS

go to youtube to do that, which a lot of people have started to do, either change and lift the selective restrictions on twitch for everyone, or actually enforce the rules for everyone. but why wont he go to youtube? because theres no subscription feature and theres probably restrictions on monetizing live streams, infact im pretty sure its not even allowed from some of the others who actually stream on it have stated. not to mention you'd have to use the youtube chat which he also doesnt like because he cant control them like he can over on his "sub-reddit" which he can count on his "fans" moderating and upvoting only the good stuff.

and its ironic that the comments change came right after the Garry's Incident of him complaining about not being able to voice his criticisms on things, and then turns around does that very same thing to his own channel

Um his podcast, which is about the gaming industry, and upcoming games and gaming topics, is exactly in why Twitch allows it, Twitch can really do anything they want, its their private service, and they see that his Podcast is a addition of positive content.

All you are trying to do atm is a "GOTCHA" moment to feel like you won something over Twitch, and to complain about TB having a subscriber button, and that people give him money.

talking about games, isnt gaming. there is no "podcast" category for streams, only games,
"Totalbiscuit playing Strip Fighter II" is the category title of his last podcast...gee seems like he tries to pic the most inconspicuous games to use as if he's trying to not get in trouble for listing it as a popular game that might actually appear in that game's list of streams and get a bunch of people asking "why is this allowed when hes not actually paying this game" since i hardly doubt anyone goes looking for "Strip Fighter II" on a regular basis

but again, you're the guy who tried to start off your part in the conversation with "at least its not porn" so take your "gotcha" lines somewhere else.

Yes like the last 5 pages of this entire thread isn't about people playing internet voyeur, with random people complaining about why isn't the playroom allowed on twitch anymore. I think that speaks for itself.

Please.

And I will not get inane semantic arguments between gaming and games.

oh look the podcast on the 14th

Totalbiscuit playing Chick Chaser, huh, wow thats strange

oh hey on the 7th

Totalbiscuit playing Cry Of Fear

yeah okay...atleast its not porn!

last december stream:

Totalbiscuit playing Create Your Own Caricature with Spitting Image, oh man i love that game, let me tune in to watch some gameplay, oh wait hes not actually playing it. oh but they're "occasionally talking about games", so its okay cause hey, atleast its not porn and you need to subscribe just to access it so who knows WHATS going on. surely the people who pay 4.99 a month arent going to report it as against the TOS

I can't wait for room titles like, "Eels at 3000 viewers"

ROFL!

It will surely be interesting to see if anyone in Japan will do some interesting shows.

I remember there was one guy from Japan a few weeks/months ago who was streaming a photoshoot/video session of some girls.

Was pretty creative.

Japan playroom streaming is going to be insane.

The enthusiasm and willingness of the Japanese to act utterly ridiculous without being completely outrageous could be a great boon to the Playroom. I would love to see additional Playroom add-ons or stand alone camera "games" or AR apps with different themes like horror or perhaps something from a publisher like Capcom or Konami with assets from their popular franchises.

People all over love those purikura booths and that, but in video form coupled with streaming ability, could be huge.
