Nintendo 64 surprisingly at a well deserved spot. At the time the droughts were tough, but looking at the library in hindsight it is far and away the most prestigious, innovative, and amazing lineup of games they have ever created.

SNES wins though on sheer quantity + quality.

Although it lacks a great Metroid game and an innovative Mario game (not saying 3D world is bad, its actually good, but it doesn't feel fresh like Galaxy did back then)

Yes i agree. I feel like last gen they were a little to focused on the hardware features of the Wii/DS, rather than just focusing on the actual games themselves. The Wii U/3DS really focus on gameplay mechanics/level design rather than trying to sell a dual screen or 3D feature.

If they reversed the order of that part of the list, it would be pretty accurate. Except for the GBA still being #9. The author of the list might be the only person on the entire planet who thinks the original Game Boy was better than the GBA, and I'm not even exaggerating.

I'm biased towards RPG, so N64 sitting at number 2 looks completely out of place for me. Not to mention it has horrendous third party support in general.

I agree. It doesn't hold up. Everything good on that system has a better remake or sequel on another system. There is not one original cartridge worth owning when there are better versions of all their best games.

I think GC graphics would be more of a turn off, especially when the ps3/360 were such beasts for there time. I agree about the N64 some many games from nintendo that gen were revolutionary and the graphics were amazing for there time.

The 3DS seems a low on that list. Assuming you use its most recent iteration, IMO it has the games library to be in the top 5. I would switch its spot with the Gamecube. Other than that, looks alright.

What? No. The best you can say about GBA is it was an alright SNES port machine. Of course, you could get all those titles and more on the Wii virtual console. Not trying to turn it into console war, but I always struggle in choosing between SNES and PS1 as the GOAT of all home consoles. On some days I lean towards the former, and others, the latter.90's and early 2000 is the best era for RPG.
