Let's talk about these unfortunate "characters".

Brody's son, Chris Brody, from Homeland

No one cares about you, Chris. Only your sister matters. You had absolutely zero plot threads, even though you show up in most episodes. You're like a fake plant -- ostensibly, people know you're there, but you merely exist there, unnoticed, as scenery. You might as well be dead.

On that 70s show, Donna had 2 sisters. Valerie was off at college and never seen, but Tina was in one episode and never seen again.

Leander Sydnor

Was introduced in Season 1 as the best young detective in the force. Was pretty much an afterthought until the end of season 5, where they try to shoehorn him in as the next McNulty.

Yeah, his thrust into the spotlight in the 11th hour of the series I've always thought was forced.

Mandy on The West Wing. Part of the senior staff and just vanished without explanation. Not that anyone watching really cared. Her character was totally superfluous.

That's not true at all.

He was in every season except 2 as a part of the case. In the MCU.

Was that the one who he took with him to an apocalyptic future and then just left there? Or am I thinking of something else?
Yeah, they got separated by the military and then he went back to the present and she was never mentioned again.

From Boy Meets World, Shawn's siblings besides the one he met in college.

And (trigger warning) from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, there's Twist. She's introduced as Apple Bloom's friend, but they never interact again after her first episode, and I think Twist only ever has one more line.

The second sister in Family Matters.

Seriously, what happened to her?

Her parents were also her agents. They tried to play hardball with her contract for more money so the show wrote her off without explanation like she never existed.

Then her parents spent all the money she did earn trying to prop up her failing business. When she came of age she had nothing and then starred in a few pornos.

Quite sad really.

What happened to Randy and Lucy's baby?
What happened to Treena?
What happened to Bubbles?
Season 1&2 Bubbles is best Bubbles.

Ugh, that's horrible. I thought it was going to be more of a thing where they decided to take her out to make more room for Urkel.

pretty much every character that isnt an Underwood or Stamper in House of Cards disappears for no real reason

like seriously, almost every other character

Oh yeah Spin City had a whole bus full of em. Nicki, Stacey, James, Janelle and a few others too.
The reason was after Fox quit the show moved coasts for production and those actors didn't want to follow, but their absence was never mentioned in the show itself and the characters never referred to again.

The trigger warning makes this one of my favorite posts I've ever seen.
