Sexualizing

Sure but usually that shit's goofy to begin with. So many films completely indulge themselves with that stuff.

I forget which film it was but there's one, perhaps directed by Guy Richie, who basically did a super fast cut of it; the bare essentials basically and then continued on with the film. Loved that lol. :messenger_grinning_squinting:
I for one follow 80s movie cop rules and conduct all my business at strip clubs. I'm also surrounded by insanely hot late 20s to mid 30s professional women that are all conveniently single and DTF after I have 1 encounter with their precocious ambiguous aged child with no dad in the picture.

Hollywood is a totally accurate representation of life :p

Actually a positive change. Sex scenes have always been a waste of time. Completely stops the story in its tracks and only makes things awkward depending upon who you are watching it with.
Sex scenes in horror films increase viewers' heart rates, priming them for a physiological fear response when the scares kick in.

Counter-argument: Sex and nudity is well known to elevate movies.

Basic Instinct without sex and nudity would have been a disaster. Everyone remembers it for the Sharon Stone interrogation scene.

Starship Troopers - Fantastic movie, would not have been as memorable without the sex and shower scenes.

True Lies - Great movie, well remembered for Jamie Lee Curtis pole dancing scene.

Dune would have been a lot more interesting/memorable if the nervous skinny guy porked spider-mans girlfriend.

I mean duh when it's part of the basic conceit of the film (such as Basic Instinct) you won't hear a peep from me but when you're just watching a regular ass drama/action/comedy film or whatever some of those scenes just go on and on. I basically use it as a mini break to check my phone or whatever.

Imagine Eyes Wide Shut without the orgy scene.

Sex is cool.

But, I personally like that movies have stopped shoehorning unnecessary romances.

I feel like the mainstream acceptance of porn has meant that writers find less of a reason to put in a sex scene.
