If you're not opposed to him, I think TotalBiscuit had a video about Boson X or at least featured it in one of his multi-game videos. Haven't played it myself or know anyone that did, though.
I've never watched one of his videos before, but based on what I'm seeing and hearing now, I like him (and the game doesn't look bad either). Why do people have a problem with him?

This is a stage-based "infinite" runner with a behind-the-shoulder, temple-run style camera perspective, a lane-switching mechanic like an early Harmonix game, and a science theme. It runs well, and it's pretty compelling. When you lose you can restart instantly, and the game has a good presentation. It's pretty difficult. Not as difficult as a Super Hexagon or a Velocibox, but hard enough that I think most people probably wouldn't beat it. That being said, I've really liked the 3-4 hours I've spent with it and I would recommend it to anyone considering it.

He has (or at least had, since I think he acknowledged and tried to minimize it) a tendency to be kinda assholish on Twitter and easily sinking into arguments. Also hashtagGamerGate, where he leans more on the side of Gaters (I'd say he *only* leans is more moderate than most but I guess a lot of GAF would argue about him being moderate. It's enough for many, anyway). And of course some people just think he's bad at what he does.

Playing FEAR 2 right now and reached Interval 5. Man this is one hell of a letdown after the first. Thinking back, I believe the only reason I even enjoyed FEAR 3 was because I played it with a buddy and had no connection to anything before that game. FEAR 2 just feels like a regular shooter with a slomo mechainc, and the story which wasn't in your face and creepy now just feels like it's trying too hard. "look at all this spooky stuff every 2 secs!" "Oh no there are a bunch of mutants too how scary!" "Hey army dude this is all the stuff going on"! Also the gunplay feels far less satisfying. Aside from graphics everything here feels like a step back and that's just sad.

The level variety isn't a step back, that's for sure.

I'm still holding out some hope since it has had some fairly heavy testing on Steam since February with up to 70 users at once, which I rarely see for unreleased games. Not that that means much, but I like to hope for things

Capcom and Valve have been doing some work on the peer-to-peer networking features, and fixed a persistent 'freezing while searching for opponents' problem that people were experiencing with Ultra, in a recent beta update. I'd be surprised if Netherrealm/High Voltage weren't helping with that too. So there may be hope.

Of course, they could just swallow their pride and use GGPO. But that'd be too easy.

I enjoyed Tomb Raider reboot for what it was, but had no desire to go back and grab any leftover achievements once I was done. And I really really dislike the new voice for Lara though. Keeley Hawes was much better (in Legend, Anniversary etc).

Looking forward to the sequel too.

There's a lot of good games there, not only one!
Z, Avadon 2, Slave Zero, Betrayer and Jagged Alliance 2 are all great games.
Agreed. I saw Freedom Fall before somewhere (possibly in a previous giveaway here) but I couldn't remember the name and forgot to wishlist it, so I'm stoked to win it now.

I'm surprised more of these aren't already taken (unless Modbot is just being slow to update).

Thank you, Kurt Russell, for going Overboard with such a great giveaway!

Edit: Kurt Russell isn't the giver. Damn, my awesome pun no longer works. :( Thank you, anonymous generous GAFer!

Damn, I need your job. Sticking a 970 in my machine left me for dead for 6 months, building that thing would bleed me for 2 years.
Those are some nice prices as well, I wish stores in Mar del Plata had that kind of pricing.

I dunno man, I've been itching to win some games today, I glazed over this long list a few times, and checked the games you named, but nothing struck my fancy.

I guess I'm picky :p

There could be something there that I'd like, if only checking out each name wasn't time consuming (especially on phone)

I usually bitch about hardware pricing, but i forget how terrible it must be outside gba/caba. hell a quick look at those components show an average of 400pesos less in each component.

I earn 10K per month (programmer at Montagne(first job)). Is not that much but I live with my father and no gf. So I have no outgoings.
Actual build is AMD phenom II x4 + 4gb of ram. Pretty useless now.

Finished Dark Souls with my STR character. Just started NG+, and I didn't realize til today that you can fucking dual-wield in DS1?! This is mind blowing! I'm now playing Dual-wielding my Great Demon Mace +15 and my Obsidian Greatsword +4, and it's fun as hell.

Just saw an email pop up from the Kentucky Route Zero devs, my heart skipped a beat.

...still isn't Act IV, but the teaser is really cool:

lhL7Nt8.png

And some fun little trivia about the computer they based a portion of the third act on:

The PDP-1
The computer used to run Xanadu in Act III is based on a real machine from 1959 called the PDP-1. The PDP-1 was host to several important moments in the history of computing -- maybe most notably here, Steve Russell's "Spacewar!," which is one of a few games people like to name as the "first" videogame. We chose the PDP-1 as a reference primarily because of that *gorgeous* display, but it works well thematically as a ruined monument to the colossal scale and expense on view in earlier computer moments. A PDP-1 in its heyday cost over $100,000, so early hackers working on the PDP-1 would only have had access to it through an institution like the university where Donald, Lula & Joseph worked. The vulgarity of this spending wasn't lost on them -- the PDP-1's text-editing software was called "expensive typewriter."

Sticking with my actual CF of Sapphire HD5850. Waiting for the new cards (and no more money actually)

yeah. actual PS is a 1000w modular PLUS GOLD

I see.
Yeah, new cards are going to be announced later this year, better hold on for now.
5850 is a decent card anyway, it'll still be able to run 2015 games on medium with that setup.

Who?
Waiting for the new cards is the best move right now, I'm glad to see people doing that.

I'm tempted to simply wait for Pascal. I mean my 780 isn't exactly outdated, sure I wont play stuff on ultra, but... Meh, that's overrated. As long as they run well and look good, I'm satisfied.

Besides, I make fuck-all money ;)

Who?

Edit: Ooooh it's the guy that always posts other peoples' opinions from twitter and stuff and never has his own, right?

Yeah, sorry... He's such a forgettable person that I keep forgetting he exists!

Beat FEAR 2 and it just came and went. As I said earlier it just feels so soulless compared to the first. Aside from some story theme's here and there it was just a ok FPS. I can at least say I have played the whole series now.

After all of that though i'm ready to go back to pillars of eternity.
