As a DRPG fan I have been wondering whether I should or not buy Moe(ro) Chronicles or not... I hate fan service stuff /:

NA/EU retail doens't exist, so I bought the Asian (english subs) version.
Had I known there was an LE version with the english subs copy I would have gone for that. Kinda bummed, haha.

Based on comments here, probably not. I have it preordered but I just ignore that stuff.
Maybe operation abyss instead? that might be more suitable (and on vita) as opposed to etrian suggestions which require a device many here might not have.
Or, if you want something now, perhaps try some psp games like Elminage or Class of Heroes 2? I'm leaving out vita's demon gaze because the fan service, while fairly minimal in quantity, is a bit over the top when it does happen.
Out of curiosity, would I be able to get in on this? And how much is it?
I've been eyeing a copy on drakuli.com for a few days now, but I've never used them before, so I'm hesitant to order from them.

Finished Monsterbag last night. The tone of the game was quite different to what I expected. Loved the art style. The animation was super top class too! Not entirely sure I understood the story, but the little that I did understand was actually really well put together. The ending stages were a bit "samey" though. But all in all a nice little experience (if a bit sad).

Because Sony wants it that way. The PS4 is basically a shove-Sony's-apps-down-your-throat machine. If I could, I'd rip 90% of the installed apps right the fuck out - they just get in the way.
PS3 was always touching on that bullshit too, and the Vita has it in spades.

I'm not sure where you're located, but in North America you can buy things at Best Buy and they give you the length of the in-store warranty to cover your price.
IE; you buy a PS4 on the first, and on the 12th it goes on sale - that's within their 14 days for electronics, so you could take it in and get it price matched to the new price.
Not sure if you have something like this where you are, but it's worth a look before you buy.
I'd wait for a big event, like E3 or Gamescom. If anything, it'll be announced during one of those events, and if it's not, you're good to go, better than doing it at a random date.

Only reasonable times for a price drop would be E3 (I doubt it) or holiday (black friday always has something, a bundle if nothing else). I kinda doubt there will be a straight price drop any time soon, I'd keep an eye out for nice bundles like that "player's bundle" with TLOU, Bloodborne and The Order. Black friday is technically the best time to buy if you get an actual deal in time, but personally I wouldn't consider the <$50 you're likely to save to be worth waiting around for 7 months, but that's me

I mean I just bought a 64gb micro SD card under $30 2 days ago.

You're never going to see PSVita Memory Cards as cheap as SD or even close as it's a key part in the Vita's version of DRM. If they had done memory cards different and without the DRM feature, they would have been cheaper.... and games would have been more expensive instead.

Anything in bulk is cheaper, I agree - but even in bulk they'd be noticeably more expensive than SD due to the R&D costs and implementation behind them.
Great DRM strategy, bad explanation to customers.
You probably wouldn't like it, it's very heavy on the fanservice from the videos I've watched of it.

Anyone know anything about Lost Dimension? It came up in my 'you might like' feed on amazon and i just don't know anything about it. i googled it and saw it's by the people that do Etrian and also see references to Valkryia Chronicles.... but then it also says it has Visual Novel stuff going on (if it's a vn like danganronpa i'll skip it).
Anyone know more info on it?
EDIT -- just watched a little bit of the japanese version on youtube. combat looks cool. the VN references in the description are still scaring me away though. anyone know what genre it is, really? Like is the combat pasted onto a VN or are they just calling it a 'vn' to get sales but it's really just got the same amount of plot of, say, demon gaze or mind zero?

Yup everyone is telling me to not go for it. I already have OA's LE preordered for June anyway, so I'll be getting my full dose of DRPG goodness then. At the pace that I am playing Xenoblade, exploring the world and immersing myself in it, it'll be a while until I feel the need to get another game. This game might look ugly to some, but there is some serious code black magic making these expansive vistas run on my n3DS without it blowing up or dropping frames. I don't think I remember playing a game with this much scale in it, it's ironic how it is running on a handheld system like the n3DS. Makes me wonder what this would have looked like on the Vita...

I was in this thread about a Vita-3000 revision , I read the OP and I shared his hopefulness so I was going to post support for a Vita-3000 announcement at E3 but I started reading the other responses and Jesus Christ the hate is real, so much ignorance and false claims, even I know some of this stuff are straight up lies and I've never even held a Vita in my hands before!
I feel really demoralize by all this negativity, I was really hopeful for a Vita resurgence by Sony this year because they ignored the Vita last year at E3 but at the PS event they started talking about it again so they had to have something substantial this E3 for the Vita to compensate for ignoring it last year, but now all my hope is down and now am just expecting at least a price drop

Sooo...anyone here have any experience dealing with Sony's repair center? Finally shipped my Vita to them last Saturday and they received it the 8th, according to FedEx. I was given a service request number in my email and when I try checking the status of repair here, I'm told my service case can't be found. Has this happened to you, should I be worried? I was planning on talking to chat support about this today but I forgot.
Par for the course when topics like that are brought up. Try not to let it get to you too much.

NintendoGAF, like any other SystemGAF/ExclusiveGameGAF will always come up with reasons and excuses.
Right now I am getting the N3DS for what Majora's Mask 3D and Xenoblade 3D.
Having 2 3DS to play my games isn't that bad, in fact I'll put all my games into my N3DS XL once I get it next month, but need to figure out how to keep the pre-installed Majora's Mask.
The 3DS XL I have will be back up in case I wanna play my retail games.

...This isn't relevant. Maid's comment was speaking to the fact that the 3DS isn't questioned in the same way the Vita is. Even if there is indication of a positive trend for the Vita, there are those who are very determined to discredit it. Mostly I think it's because being contrary makes people feel somehow superior, but I can't speak for them.
As to that specific thread... There are a lot of shitposts, but I tend to agree that a Vita3000 is very very unlikely. Sony won't invest in to new games with any real budget, so I doubt they'd invest in the R&D for a new console rendition.
The problem is I don't understand why would people feel the need to be hostile toward the platform they don't own.

I'm NA as well, but while the fact I can't log into PSN I would just attribute to maintenance or something, not being able to load the Sony Entertainment Network homepage or the Playstation Store homepage is very strange. No luck with different browsers.
