The title made me laugh and think to myself "If you eat a lot, you'll poop a lot, sources say."

I'm a stupid, rabid Sony fanboy and that game made me buy a 360. MP was fucking great.
maybe. i never got to experience it as anything more than a laggy bugfest.
If it's a single game then I would expect it to work perfectly. Also, each Gears game uses Unreal Engine so at least porting may be a little easier than what it was with the Halo games.
The multiplayer, arguably. But the single-player campaign just doesn't hold up.
Back then it was the first bright beacon of next-gen gaming with it's amazing graphics but it has been a long fucking time since then. Not really a campaign I feel is worthy of replaying in any capacity. Not on PC, not on Xbox one.
I'm referring to these:
There are no appreciable gameplay design differences between the campaigns of 1, 2 and 3 -- save for 1 having a slightly more "horror" tinge to the story, with 2 and 3 falling into some ridiculous overdramatic trappings as far as the story itself goes.
I personally think 1 has the best campaign of the bunch, by a decent margin. 2 and 3 were lost in setpiece moments that lacked punch and lacked fun, IMO.
If they are doing one game only, I'm glad it's the first one

I'm cool with just getting the first game, but it would be even cooler if they could go ahead and cram a horde mode into the game. I don't need GoW2's single player game, but dat horde mode is worth the price of admission.
They really need dedicated servers. Gears of War 1 was amazing multiplayer but the host had a slight advantage (though killing the host was so satisfying). Playing Gears of War 1 MP again without any alterations aside from host advantage removal, no crab walking, and no jumping out of the stage, would be heaven.

Depending on what price they try to sell at I could see that making it in.
Microsoft gave Halo:MCC the green light and sent it out the door in time for Holiday 2014 and the rest is history.
It's not the same developers, but it's still a Microsoft first-party remake.

I enjoyed the Gears series, all very solid third person shooters with some funny silly moments (the worm) and some awful ones (the Mansion iirc and those monstrous trial and error bits like Kryll and the ice lake).
I've no interest in a remaster, save to find out what price point it'll be, as an academic interest for how they're presenting it.

Again, just your opinion. I've replayed it a little over a year ago and it holds up well, I'll be getting this day one, If you're not interested in it, don't buy it. It's gonna sell very well imo

Ahh, if these remastered collections happen then I wouldn't be surprised if we get huge day 1 patches instead of a second disc, like MCC.

Eh. Gears 1 was great at the time, but I'm not sure I'd want a single remaster. I'm assuming speed was priority though. Honestly this is just as baffling as the God of war 3 remaster. Kinda funny that both GoWs are getting single game remasters this year.

The MCC was an embarrassing shitshow, but they did have multiple engines and outsourced code to throw together.
Unreal should be easy to port, especially for one game.

The truth. Take off the nostalgia glasses and it's clearly the worst of the numbered entries. Never bothered to play Judgement so I can't comment on that.
