Underground 1 & 2 are the best NfS games, even my favorite racing games. Please let the game be good and not too flooded with online/social stuff

You mean based on this image

Yeah it looks closer to a 930 than a 964 judging by the headlights.

No, it's a 964.

The Underground games were basically built for online/social stuff. There are so many elements of the game that could be enhanced with that.

Don't knownwhy people hate Underground 2 because of open-world.

In UG2 the world was basically a hub to get into the races and the actual races were closed track. Carbon and Most Wanted were the same way. If they repeat that then I'm good.

I wonder if the cars will be just as inexplicably, perpetually wet in dry climates as the last game. I got a kick out of that.

Not so sure.

The above is a 993 and it looks a lot more similar to the first high resolution pic.

Pretty sure the green car isn't a Porsche at all. The area with the glass and roof goes too far back to be a 911, and the spoiler is a weird shape that I've never seen on a modded 911, the wingtips are further toward the front of the car than the main part of the spoiler.

If this really is Underground 3 it had better be tacky as shit. I aint buying it if I can't make a JDM car look like a christmas tree.

Hopefully it's 60 FPS or I'm out. I need it in my driving games and Driveclub and Rivals proved it to me.

Also crashes.

Do you even know how a 993 looks like?

The 993 has flatter headlights while the ones in the 964 stick out more, just like in the leaked pic.

Do the comparisons for yourself, there is no arguement that it's a 964. The body kit on the other hand is definitely inspired by RWB, whether or not it's an imitation there's no telling right now.

This one? It looked like a different car to me.

But I just noticed the second "layer" at the bottom of the wing that seems to match RWB kits, so now I'm not sure.

It's a 964, period. Stop over analysing. The body kit probably is based on RWB but not real since NFS games never used true aftermarket brands for their tuning options.

I always knew the Porsche in the images was a 964, if you look over the past pages you'll see I was one of the ones who pointed out why it wasn't a 930 or 993.

All I was saying was that the roofline on the newer picture with the green car's wheel didn't look like a 911 shape.

It's because of the weird perspective of the screenshot, since the fender is so wide it creates a visual illusion of the C pillar of the car being much more behind than usual.

That's not a 964 at all

Joke?

Because I spent more time getting to a race than racing. That's why I only played the mission list in MW.

As long as there's no hellbent cop AI ruining all the fun, I'm extremely interested in this, especially if it's a new Underground.

See you tomorrow ;)

HOLY FUCKING SHIT!

SPEEDHUNTERS is my favourite auto site. I actually loved what SMS did with SHIFT 2 in regards to their association with SPEEDHUNTERS so I have full confidence that Ghost will do even better.

Might cater to stance community

Which I absolutely hate. I hope if there is tuning, it's not just stance related. I actually want to make my car prettier and improve the performance, not ruin it. There's Singer, Vorsteiner, Bulletproof etc etc. I don't think the will use real aftermarket companies though for the kits, NFS always had their own designs.

I actually hope the same. No disrespect to last gen as I have both a 360 and PS3, but I really want this game to look/play/feel as good as possible.

I think it has a pretty good chance of being current gen only. EA's sports games are really the only games that are crossgen at this point. And Rivals seemed to perform better on current gen than last gen. There really doesn't seem to be much benefit to releasing it on last gen platforms.

But I liked driving to the racing event, isn't that the point? The enjoyment of driving?

The problem with Rivals was the overabundance of police officers. I couldn't roam freely without a cop car chasing me every 2 minutes and that ruined the whole point of the open road. Even the open road is ridiculously small, considering how fast you drive through it, especially while evading the feds.

It wasn't a bad game but it wasn't a fun game. The novelty wore off after a few hours. Most Wanted was much better but it definitely shouldn't have been called Most Wanted, I enjoyed that game but it had a barebones single player and multiplayer. What's the point of having a game called Most Wanted and has no cops online?

This game really needs a meaty single player because online communities die very quickly, especially if its an unpopular game. I think the social integration is incredibly important in this revival, with the whole "swag, Instagram, snapchat, fame culture" in street racing. but they shouldn't forget to make a solid campaign, which has been sorely missing in NFS since Carbon.

I always wanted them to mix Underground and Most Wanted but we got a disappointing fusion with Carbon. Hopefully they don't remove cops entirely and bring back their nature as they were in Most Wanted 2005, while basically remaking Underground 2 for 2015 with social features added.

Best wishes.

NFS Underground is the only one in the series I enjoyed, and maybe even my favorite racer of all time. I think it's about time they make a new one and ruin everything about it to disappointment me.

I want my tacky street racing Fast and Furious 1-3 cash in. They rode those movies' hype to gaming legend and should go right back to it.

I agree about everything you said and let's not forget that you could not pause Rivals even in single player offline mode. The game had amazing visuals and a great looking maps but yeah, you mentioned what I didn't like with the game. Whether Underground 3 is open world or not it's not a big deal to me, I just don't want them to put a large focus on online bullshit but rather a rich experience for us car guys who are also into customization.

Import Tuner Challenge had great customization on the Xbox 360 but only a few people have played that, so did Juiced 2.

If I can re-create/re-design this with the new game... I'll buy/preorder it immediately... xD... (Pls... I need a 206 in the new game...)

PS: Sorry for the quality , it was taken with a webcam 10years ago... xD...

I loved NFS Underground 1 and 2, but knowing EA I am not getting my hopes up. With the way games are released these days, if this game doesn't turn out to be the greatest thing since Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition, I'll probably pick up the GOTY or Complete edition during a sale, because you and I both know they'll be pushing pre-order cars, car packs, map packs and microtransaction to unlock parts like no tomorrow, something that goes against everything that I loved so much about the originals. Don't even tell me you think it wont happen.

The entire way the first two Underground games work (with how you progressively unlock better performing parts, higher class cars and cooler looking tuning parts, skins, rims, neon, doors, paints and skins) can just be too perfectly ruined by an endless stream of "pay to unlock stuff early" features for EA to not exploit it. I expect they're gonna focus on those gamers who pick up a game for a week and lose interest, so of course they'll have to be able to pay money in order to instantly get everything they want without having to put in any effort.

I know I'm being very cynical here and maybe it's unfair... I mean I guess kinda maybe thunder will strike EA headquarters three times and some miracle will occur that will keep the spirit of the original games intact, who knows right? I mean, what the hell, they might even not charge you for fuel in this one, wouldn't that be great? After that nonsense and bullshit like Dungeon Keeper, Dead Space 3, The Saboteur, Mass Effect 3 and PvZ 2 I feel like I need to have 0% expectations of any EA game in order to stay sane, so I'm going to guess it'll be like Underground 1 but with pretty graphics and boatloads of every type of DLC that I hate so much, and then just see what happens from there.

Which is also why I cannot get excited for Battlefront, as much as I'm hyped for Ep.7. I supposes everyone forgot Battlefield 4's fantastic launch, which they couldn't fix until the expansion was out. Fuck me, I'll stop being cynical about EA when they stop representing a South Park sketch...

Please be good... *cries*
