I'd personally not use a Ghorn as if you do then for the heavy round you will end up sacrificing your primary and you might need it. Instead get a rocket launcher with Proximity detonation if you can, if you can't then just get any RL with high blast radius.

I'm pretty good with thorn but I do best with red death and bad juju. What's a good legendary primary? VoC any good?
Will a max HoC do a good job?

We just went full scumbag with 2 Thorns and 1 Vex. On our first passage ticket we got defeated hard by guys with Red Deaths, so that one seems to be pretty viable in Trials.
But it's mostly Thorns out there, with some Hawkmoons and occasional TLWs. I tried using the HoC, but I could only kill one...that tracking is so useless. But then again, you can probably aim the HoC better than me.

I got solar handcanon with Third eye, perfect balance and Iacrus, the only solar HC in game !
Trials is freakin awesome..
Round 1 on Hunter: 9-0 - received the Arc Jewel Hand Cannon from the lighthouse chest and the Solar Sniper from Brother Vance
Round 2 on Warlock: 9-0 again... this time got the Arc AR... damn this thing is a beast and Void shotty from Vance.
Etheric light is coming out of my ass now. All 3 toons now 34.
The exotic emblem is really cool, too. As is the Hunter cloak

Double Down and Field Scout are great PvP perks, I have them on my LDR and it spawns with 24 rounds, Final Round is probably best with the lower ammo count but it's still a good perk to have anyway.

I'd reroll, unless you aimed for double down then keep it. I have Spray and Play and Final Round, it makes the reload after your last shot a joke.
In the middle I've gotten Snapshot and Perfect Balance, and Snapshot is actually really great in PvP.
It does sound fun if you win all the time, ha

Holy crap... the PvP loot is so much better than PvE for HoW. 2 e-light for two hours invested vs 0 for the 5 hours of story, PoE 28 ,32 and nightfall.

Oh man that sounds awesome as well! I'll probably use my new 365 VoC for solar burns. I just wanted void, Atheon's Epilogue and Word of Crota just don't do it for me.
BTW I think everyone with the hand cannons has the same perks, at least me and Akai got one with Icarus and Third Eye as well.
