Aren't new Sonic games always being made and always bad?
No, Boom was made by another developer and is classed as a spin off gam. While lost worlds was made by the storybook team (colours) and had potential but fell a bit short in the end, and is considered to be average at best.
So no, we haven't had a bad Main Sonic Team game since Sonic 06.
Sonic Team hasn't made a bad Sonic game since '06. Unleashed was half great & half gimmicky, Colors was great, Generations was awesome, & Lost World was decent. They didn't make Sonic Boom, that was Big Red Button.

Every Sonic game thread will always have the people posting how Sonics recent games are bad cause they dont like em....it really gets tiresome reading that constantly(Yes I know Sonic Boom is horrible, but that game shouldn't even count!).
I hope theres a new game on the way, I like the direction they were going with Lost Worlds.
A Sumo digital game would be great also.

Yeah. Sonic 06' was bad. Sonic Boom was bad. You never hear people praise the good titles though like Generations, Colors, All-Stars Racing titles, and to a lesser extent Unleashed. I'm hoping we hear something at E3 during someone's conference (Nintendo's).

This, Lost World had a great idea but needed more polish in the level design department & maybe a change or two with the controls. As much as I liked Modern Sonic's Unleashed Day/Colors/Generations Modern gameplay, I feel like it maxed out on its potential after Generations. I'd love to be wrong, though.

Their last true blunder was Sonic '06 (or if you want to get technical, the night levels of Unleashed). Their efforts since then ranged from decent (Lost World) to awesome (Generations).
After Lost World 3DS, I'd rather not. More so since they'd likely dump the project on Dimps.

Something like "New Sonic the Hedgehog" available exclusively on New Nintendo 3DS would be pretty funny. Would sell more systems, because some Sonic fans are just that die hard.

And at 60fps on PS4/XBO. Surely it's the best selling Sonic game of recent times too, so not sure why it hasn't/isn't happening.

Regardless of whether this rumor is credible, I honestly think we'll know what the "next" Sonic game is within the next 3 weeks.
It would match the ~2 year time span between Generations and Lost World's announcements of April 2011 and May 2013, respectively.
So bring on the new Sonic for June 2015.

Well, I mean I was expecting something soon, hopefully it's good. Which it should be considering Sonic Teams recent track record.

It's completely different from the Wii U version so it sorta counts. It's also possibly up there with Sonic 2006 and Shadow the Hedgehog when it comes to how bad it is.
I have a feeling this is the plan, but we'll see.

eh the classic physics weren't great in generations. Not sonic 4 bad, but they need some work. But yeah, in general, more of that too!
Still mad I bought this. The 3DS really needs its own Sonic game on par with Rush and Advance in terms of production quality. Sonic Team are lucky Colours and Generations are good because putting all their eggs in one basket by having the 3DS games be lesser versions of the console games can't be good in the long run. Rush and Advance kept me invested in Sonic between Heroes and Colours.

Same here. I don't think I felt the decline of Sonic as much as most people since I always had a good handheld game to play and look forward to in between releases. Handheld Sonic games haven't been anything special since the 3DS launched, and now the console games are bad again too. I don't think there has been a darker time for Sonic than right now, which is a shame since I really thought they were on to something after Colors and Generations.

Yeah, I can relate there. Sonic is in a pretty bad position right now. Not only do we no longer have the good handheld games to fall back on but the bad console games aren't even selling very well.
I honestly didn't even associate the handheld Sonics with bad stuff like Shadow, 06 and Unleashed. To me they were their own thing and further good additions to the 3DS's library. It's so weird to me that Sega haven't put out a good 3DS game considering how they sell rather well on the system, but all this mediocrity 3DS users are being fed will eventually kill their interest too.

I'd absolutely love this. Just have less emphasis on combat and more on using different character abilities for platforming challenges. And have Team Sonic be the only team.
