Is the helicopter flight from the populated area a hint that they have implemented appropriate streaming tech to combat the "walled of settlement" structure that was the bane of immersion in Fallout 3, New Vegas and Skyrim? Or maybe I am just seeing what I want to see ...

I'm thinking (hoping) yes. They used to have it like that back in Morrowind, they just had to change it due to console limitations (PS360). Since they're not doing cross-gen perhaps they were able to go back to that.

Looks awesome, though I hope this doesnt come out this Fall for 2 reasons:

1) Too many games are coming out that I want this fall
2) Give them more time to polish the game off if its early-mid 2016(fix the damn inevitable bugs. I dont want a repeat of the shit bugs in New Vegas. Fallout 3 had some bad bugs, but nothing as bad as new vegas)

I wish we could stop excusing them like this.
I mean this is a company that sold over 25 million copies of Skyrim and millions of their previous games. They have the budget to create those amazing visuals. Especially now when they have some actual competition from CD Projekt and next year Warhorse.

Indeed, when it comes to budget, they have just as much capability as R* . This is a really an abysmal showing of graphics and tech. The only standouts here are the city density and the new lighting. I can't believe they are still insisting with that garbage animation tech.

CDPR just came along and blew everything Rockstar has done and everything Bethesda has done out of the water.

Aside from the fact that TW3 has sold enough to rival TES/Fallout (though obviously not GTA), they also offered a better gameworld, a bigger gameworld, a better story, a more interactive story, better combat gameplay, and better immersion. TW3 is the next level. If Fallout 4 comes even remotely close, I'll be a very happy camper. And frankly I think that's a tall order.

Wow, seems like there's a lot of negativity for the game in this thread already...What's it like to not get excited about anything? I thought the trailer was really awesome. It looks WAY more colorful than both Skyrim and Fallout 3 and the short bit of animations we saw (from the ghouls) look like they're miles ahead of anything Bethesda has done before.

Maybe too bright and colored for me, i loved the dark, lifeless and grim atmosphere of fallout 3.

BO3 has been announced without a word about last gen versions, but shinobi with his insider knowledge has said that is cross-gen.

You could see that it was real engine footage and not CG or anything, so it would be really cool if you get to spend time in that era (either mission based, like darkness 2 flashbacks, or just linear story wise)

Looks good though. It's Bethesda so the trademark jank is there, but the graphics are holding their own so far. It's not top tier but it at least looks like a 2016 (or whenever it comes out) game.
