Off the top of my head...
- Halo 5: Guardians
- Forza Motorsport 6
- Rise of the Tomb Raider
- Gears of War: Ultimate Edition
- Fable Legends
PS4 has Uncharted Collection... and I think that's it?

Take Halo out of Microsofts end of year lineup and suddenly it looks a lot different; very unimpressive.
Then when you consider that it's coming from a developer that released a much maligned MCC and probably the most derided game in the series (4), I don't think MS deserves the label of "best end of year lineup" particularly.
I keep seeing this. Does Microsoft have a huge 1st party lineup right now? Unless only the rest of this year counts, this year hasn't been very strong with Microsoft so far for 1st party. And even by the end of the year, there's a total of what? 3 1st party games from them?
Not trying to derail or start a stupid console war. I'm just not seeing why this particular argument is against Sony.
Yeah, though we did get Bloodborne which is an obvious GOTY contender.

Microsoft will probably have more than 3 1st party games this year, though just speculation on my part-- Halo 5, Fable Legends, Forza 6, gears remastered, Rare game, Press Play game & Twisted pixel game.I keep seeing this. Tomb Raider is not first party.
Nope, but it's a holiday exclusiveand since we're talking about holiday lineups, it's the same exact thing.

Not when you responded to a comment about first party production.

Yup. Corrected that. However, to the consumer, there is no difference between a first-party produced game and a console exclusive. Either way, Microsoft gets the sale.

- God of War III Remastered lol
- Uncharted Remaster lol
- Until Dawn
- Tearaway Unfolded
And then we have to beg the question as to what has came out before today on XB1 as First-Party?
It's almost like team MS-only were tired of being wrong with the argument "Sony doesn't have exclusives" and moved onto "Sony doesn't have first-party".
That's not the discussion here.
Nope, but it's a holiday exclusiveand since we're talking aboutholiday lineupsthe 2015 lineup, it's the same exact thing.
If you're changing to holiday exclusive lineup and not 1st party like the comment you were replying to was talking about then there are several ps4 exclusives which are not being accounted for.
Making it an arbitrary competition of first party games only is nothing more than a pissing match. It's a completely irrelevant statistic to the consumers, and even to enthusiasts.
I'm not changing anything. I misread the post and corrected it. What AAA Xbox One/PS4 exclusives are we talking? I can't think of any off the top of my head that have released so far this year.

Order 1886 ( yes, it counts just like how Ryse, Knack, Kinect Sports & Shadowfall counts)
Bloodborne
MBL15
The Order 1886 is an AAA production and MLB The Show 15 is as much of an AAA game as Forza 6.
Yeah, you can add Disgaea 5 and DQ heroes as well.
Oh yeah, there's also Onechanbara Z2.
Is the Sword Art online games going to be released this year?
I guess for me as a fan of Japanese games in general, the PS4 lineup is far more appealing, but hey! that's just me
Why wouldn't The Order count? I'd say its selling power is probably above the others you cited there.

I am just curious what else Bethesda has for E3
as they have announced Doom and Fallout 4
Pete said on twitter ''you anit seen nothing yet'' referring to E3
that might be Fallout 4 he is referring to
the reason I bring this up
is this
http://store.bethsoft.com/collectibles/statues/dragonborn-life-size-bust-deposit.html
which come out Q2 2016
why this when Skyrim came out in 2011?
Not citing you, but there's people who are quick to dismiss Order as a release just because it's not a good game.
It's true across the board. Kinect Sports Rivals gets dismissed as a 'AAA' game at times because it's a Kinect game, and not a 'traditional game.'
I'm not changing anything. I misread the post and corrected it. What AAA Xbox One/PS4 exclusives are we talking? I can't think of any off the top of my head that have released so far this year.
Exactly. Consumers don't care who or where the game was producedjust where they can actually buy it.
And potential the game of the generation in Persona 5. PS4 lineup looks good enough to me.

edit: Should've read your post better! Thought you were referring to the holiday lineup, not the entire year. So obviously include Bloodborne in the above.
It's an argument made primarily to exclude non-Fall games. Because MS's offering for the rest of the year are pretty much non-existent.
It's the typical exclusionary bullshit you see with other arguments that seek to exclude indie games or Japanese games or what have you to prop up the XB1 library while downplaying PS4's.
At least someone stood up for Xbox.
Not saying you are a fan, just that you are aware about it, no matter what platform you choose.
plot twist: XBO owner
How is Fable Legends not a AAA game? You were talking about AAA? But you listed fable legends? Your comment before you realised your mistake was in reference to holiday 2015 exclusive lineup, but now changed to 2015 AAA lineup? So now im confused.

Well, to be honest, most of people didn't realized it until Sony take a public announcement. And now there is a lot of people thinking they won't even announce much at E3.
And, if you see at neogaf, the majority of posts/threads are about Sony or PS4. Even when about bugs. Soooo... If you want to be loved, you also get hated.
-Dishonored 2.
-A remaster of the original Dishonored and possibly one of Fallout 3 + New Vegas or Skryim.
How is Fable Legends not a AAA game?
I guess if it's a $60 retail title, that's probably how it'll be categorised. At least for now.
I think it's fair to say Sony has had the stronger AAA lineup in the earlier part of the year, whilst Microsoft is looking to have the stronger AAA lineup in the latter part of the year.
How is Fable Legends not a AAA game?
Well, I own all three systems so I kinda have agnostic authority on this one!
MH and FFVII aren't surprising given the popularity, but Parasite Eve? That's random as hell, but awesome. Horror games seem like they're coming back in a big way.
iMax was using the $60 metric for what should be considered a AAA game so i thought it was weird when fable legends is f2p.

The production value is the only thing that matters when it comes to describing games as "AAA".Well, that's a tough one. It's free-to-play, right? It certainly feels like a AAA game, production-wise, if that makes any sense.
Ah. Fair point then.iMax was using the $60 metric for what should be considered a AAA game so i thought it was weird when fable legends is f2p.
Ultimate Edition is most likely coming this year. They're only porting over Gears 1, so it shouldn't be that difficult or take too much time.MS games in development are just coming to fruition this year, but I think next year Sony's will be.
Do we really think Gears of War will be this year. I don' think it's been in development that long. I'm also dubious of Tomb Raider getting released this year. I reckon it'll stay on course for 2015 and then slip at the last minute.
MCC wasn't a 343i game. It was distributed under the 343i banner but they played no part in its production, aside from marketing and post-release stuff.
The team actually making games in 343i has been dormant since 2012—and since their first outing (84+ on Metacritic), I think most would expect their next game to be even better.
Halo 4 gets a lot of hate on here—but it's my favourite Halo and I'm it's a lot of others favourite too.

Similarly of UC4 made it in time for Xmas, suddenly the Sony lineup would look a lot stronger. From the perspective of enthusiasts, I think most would agree that a Naughty Dog game trumps a 343 one in terms of hype and expectation of delivery.
Basically what I'm trying to say is there's very little in it.
The definition of an AAA game has become increasingly diluted...Well, that's a tough one. It's free-to-play, right? It certainly feels like a AAA game, production-wise, if that makes any sense.

Anyways, it is just as AAA as something like forza horizon or Kinect sports. Having a F2P model just make a it harder to identify as AAA....Same thing with Project Spark.
