Oh look, instead of adding somebody interesting to the roster they decided to go with the dullest fighting game protagonist of all time when his company already has a much more influential representative. Wonderful. At least roy's new design looks good.

Mega Man more influential than Ryu? Allow me to recover from rolling on the floor laughing to say "I wish".

I would have preferred Chun Li, but no way they were going to pick her over Ryu. The thing is, while in any other fighting game including Ryu is like "whatever", here, in Smash, a game that's so different to anything else, it is a fresh and exciting addition. Ryu is the quintessential traditional fighting character and a template copied over and over: his inclusion in Smash is not only a great thing but almost mandatory.

SO after watching this video, I started up Smash 4 to try and compare the few moves Roy does to Lucina. I can't identify what move Roy used on Marth in the video. Any guess, or is it a new move? Also, was the way Roy uses his Up B always like that, he's holding the blade different to how Marth and Lucina hold it.

My first thought was to think Peach was meant to be Kumatora since she was in red, but thinking about it you're probably right. Flint, Boney and Claus were still playable at different points though. >:V
