Canada E3 Deals 2015 IOTI Actually, even better than last year!

Is this faster than getting it to your home?

If you aren't going to be home to sign for it or don't want to wait for the delivery person then yes. You can just swing by the nearby outlet and pick up the game at any time rather than wait for the delivery van to return to the outlet if you weren't there to sign (usually available after 5pm same day or 1pm next day).

Edit: I do this now since I'm never home when the delivery person shows up.

Ask me about the moon landing or the temperature at which jet fuel burns. You may be surprised at what you learn.
I bet somewhere out there, Jim Sterling and the rest of the games journalists who told us to stop preordering games are crying soft tears at Canada atm :p
They neither pay for my video games nor do they have to pay $90+ for one video game so they can fuck right off with what they think.

Canada Post now has this too. I haven't tried it yet, though, and you have to give a different address from your normal one. Dunno if UPS works the same way (but also screw UPS).
Oh, that's nice. I didn't know this. We currently have a parcel locker on our apartment. I wonder if they will use that for orders like video games?

Yes!!!! Question though, if I sign up for Amazon Student, will the effect still maintain my shipping speed even if the trial expires? Like am I guareteed prime shipping?
Quote for new page, anyone know?
If you ordered with Amazon Prime, then yes. It will be maintained even after the trial expires. That's my plan if I'm going to buy at Amazon. I still have their free Amazon Prime for 30 days.

So, kind of confused. Is Amazon's promotion just 30% off the entire order, or is it like last year where you got 15% off of each game and then another 15% off when the game ships?

Cool, amazon rocks. I'll probably go crazy when they'll not ship on release but it's gonna be worth the price.

Mad Max
Mighty no.9
GOW3 remastered
SF5
Ratchet

So far...

79.99 for PC games? What the fuck?

Yop. Im saying the same thing atm. I think my support for AAA games will go downward in a near future, will wait for rebate etc.

There is no freakin way im going to pay 79.99 for a game.In the past it was justified, box, cartridge, manual. Now you buy a game and nothing come with it.

Seriously, the jacking price of 69.99$ US for a game will hurt the industry. And NO, they wont force me to pre-order to save.

Im crossing my fingers that sales will go down this christmas for the benifit of the gamer. Seriously, if sale are the same at that new price, im going to get very depressed.

My main issue is that the PS4 and Xbox versions of Deus Ex are available but not the PC version? From what I can tell, you can get the PC version of Rainbow Six, Division, and Arkham so why not Deus Ex...

If Amazon doesn't add some other games I'm looking for (Zelda/StarFox seem to be the big ones) I might be forced to hit Best Buy.

lol I'm probably the only doing one splitting orders between day one BB and day infinity Amazon

Amazon better get their ball rolling with putting games up. right now I got Fallout 4 and SK2

I know that Amazon only charges you once they ship your item. So what if I pre-order 3 games, one of them being Arkham Knight, so that I get the 30% discount. And once they ship it to me in 2 weeks, I just cancel the rest of the order. Would that work ?

I have Fallout 4 PC pre-ordered but it's basically a backup. After 30%, Fallout 4 PC (and any $79.99 PC game) is $55.99 ($63.27 after 13% tax in Ontario). Green Man Gaming has it for $59.99 USD. At an exchange rate of, say, 1.25 CAD = 1 USD, and after an assumed 23% discount (that's the usual GMG voucher value), I get $57.75 CAD. But GMG charges immediately, so I'm basically waiting to see what I can get from them closer to the release date.

God of War III PS4 for $28 is not bad at all.

Some games which have SKUs which are not eligible as of yet:

Scalebound
Crackdown
Rise of the Tomb Raider
Halo 5
Battlefront
Assassin's Creed Syndicate
Yoshi's Wooly World
NHL 16
Xenoblade Chronicles X
Star Fox Wii U
Zelda Wii U
Devil's Third

They definitely need to update their list. Big games like NHL 16 and Persona 5 are missing.
I don't think a SKU is up anywhere for Persona 5 at this point (since Best Buy's ps3 one is gone), so doubtful Amazon will have it up. Best Buy likely will since they are willing to post listings preemptively.

Hmm, my credit card expires in november so I hope that doesn't screw me over. Futureshop stopped me from ordering a game last time because it was set to come out after that and I had to use amazon. And I hate using amazon for games because I always pre-order a metric shit ton and then return them to futureshop if they are flops.

I was thinking, the code is redeemable multiple times right?

Wouldn't this be a smarter option?

1. Include a game you REALLY want.
2. Put 2 more games that you know are coming out sometimes near the explosion of the sun, probably Kingdom Hearts 3 and whatever else.
3. Do this multiple times for each game. That way you can cancel and not worry.

Unless I am missing something. Lets say you put 10 preorder games into 1 order. And you start cancelling games from that order, does the whole deal fall apart? Or can you cancel games that don't fall below the 3 game limit?

Only if you fall below 3 games.

I don't know man. It smells fishy to me. Basically everyone can do that, pre-order two other games that aren't coming out this year, then get the game they want for -30% and cancel the two other ones.

Is this something we want to do, keep track of pre-order games not yet on the list? Because I can toss a few more titles in:

Metal Gear Solid V
Need For Speed
Tales of Zestiria (PS3 and PS4--PS3 page is up but unavailable, PS4 not yet on Amazon)
Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX
Persona 5 (PS3 and PS4, not yet on Amazon)
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided (PC only, not yet on Amazon)
Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem (not yet on Amazon)

You can cancel as long as the total order doesn't fall below 3. Big orders are safer imo

Grabbed Fallout 4, Uncharted, Ratchet and Call of Duty. Got $85 off. Not bad.

I already had orders for Uncharted and CoD but this deal brought it cheaper.

$58 w/ tax for Uncharted? Hell yeah.

Or hell, do we want to just take this to a Google Doc? I'd be happy to keep it updated, especially as Amazon starts adding more games during the week (hopefully).

Weird,I've used amazon once in my life, and somehow I have CDN$ 73.47 Promotional balance

Anyone know if there's a way to see where that came from?
