First-party dreams are less likely than third-party dreams, because Shu would probably rather invest in a new IP than a SOCOM reboot. =/

Adam even said on GB that had Sony chose to fund Shenmue 3 entirely, it would effectively become a 1st-party project that's super awkward because Sony doesn't own the IP, and Shu would have to manage the development of a project that wasn't his initiative to begin with.

Yeah you're right.. I love new IP as much as the next guy but damn they're sitting on soooo many well established IP already.

I feel that the most important thing that Sony gave us in this E3, more than just TLG FFVIIR and Shenmue 3, is the hope that dreams can come true =p

It may not be Shenmue for you but I think everyone can relate to having that one game that you thought would never come back.

Holy shit this thread is historical now. I was reading the replies in here when TLG was announced (around page 32) and the FF7 remake (around page 137) and it's so freaking hilarious. I've never seen too much hype on GAF before hahah. It was an awesome conference :')

I feel sad that I was taking a freaking nap when Sony's conference started and I wake up right after the Shenmue 3 announcement but at that time GAF servers were melting and the page didn't open at all hah

Got to laugh at the World of FF reveal before it and everyone be like trollolol this is your FFVII remake lolol. And then BOOM!!!! Devastation. Quickly followed by Shenmue and E3 was officially over.

The best thing is that all of these dream announcements are merely supplements to the rest of the stuff Sony will be giving us (I mean, Gravity Rush 2 on PS4 will be freaking amazing in itself!) no to mention new stuff from QD etc.

Yeah, it was quite something man...E3 of forever. Kagari said it looks like the best one since 09'. Only time will tell, but I think it may have surpassed that one. New hardware is great, but this is just decade old fan request being fulfilled, you can't beat that.

In fact, next E3, will probably be stronger game wise, but I doubt it will topple the hype of this one. Shu has basically revealed an additional 6-7 game reveals mostly from in-house.

Many of these will probably be graphical showpieces. This gen is really just taking off. I no longer expect it to be a short one. PS4/X1 might not have been powerhouses, but I think devs like them, and this really is going to be a software loaded generation.

Best E3 Press Conference I've ever seen.

The timing on the megatons was perfection and following up the first megaton with a brand new IP megaton that could stand up to all 3 of the other megatons just shows how powerful Sony's first parties are.
