Be interesting to see if the press that shat all over it at the WiiU launch suddenly change their tune.

Depends if it is just a straight port, or if they have improved it. Either guessing the use of smartglass for the tablet stuff, or they just made it within the game.

The rating also mentions all the hallmarks of the former WiiU exclusive: Strong language, themes and violence.
I assume its timed exclusive since its by ubisoft. Just trying to get back some money.

Tried the demo on Wii U, but I sold it soon after. Looking forward to playing this properly, hopefully it comes to PS4.

Guess the IQ could be improved. Wonder if they'll fiddle with balance and stuff. Cool game but that carnival was terrible. More reason to use guns would honestly be welcome, or anything to shake up the "walk forward, cricket bat, walk back" cycle of 90% of encounters.

The use of the WiiU gamepad is the only thing they didn't shit all over in reviewing the original.

Wonder how the duel screen features are going to work. Does that Xbox glass thing work on XB1? I know that you can use the Vita as a controller but it's game specific.

Yeah that sounds reasonable. Or maybe the Paris thing?

I hope this will be a 15-20 bucks downloadable title. Everything else would be unreasonable imo.

Yeah god forbid you're asked to pay full price for a (probably improved version of a) fantastic game.

Wonder how it'll all work, given how the GamePad's mechanics were quite entrenched into ZombiU's design as a survival horror game. Things like the realtime resource management in a separate, distinct "backpack" space from your TV, the bleeping radar and interactive map, and the scanning. They all either massively enhanced the atmosphere, or they changed the rules of the game in large ways that can't be replicated without compromise elsewhere.

Still, I'm really looking forward to seeing how it's been rebuilt, as it's clearly going to have been a bigger undertaking than simply removing the GamePad. ZombiU was a pretty special survival horror to me, even though it had its flaws, and it'd be great to see it get another chance at success.

I have this game on Wii U but I've never really been able to get into it. The premise seems neat but there's something about it that's kind of offputting.

Cool that it's going to be available elsewhere though.

It's honestly a bit hard to get into at first, I'd give it another shot though. It's not super long and pretty fun once you get the hang of things. If you're not playing on "die and your save is erased" mode I wouldn't stress out too much, you're given more ammo than you need and you won't die too much unless you do stupid stuff (it happens), and even then losing a backpack's worth of loot isn't a game breaking problem.

The tablet stuff is what made the game compelling I thought. Still found it boring personally, wasn't my cup of tea.

Debatable, it ranges from a neat but not entirely vital gimmick (the scanner), to an interesting reinvention of standard "doesn't pause for menus" (inventory), to bullshit tapping minigames (almost all other uses). I don't really consider it a vital part of the game though it added more than it detracted.

Would like to see e done with the MP side of this. It was cool to die and then know your zombie body is roaming around.

They'll probably just put it in-game. Like the game pauses or something whenever you use something that was on the Gamepad and it displays it on screen. The whole Smartglass, Vita as a second screen thing kind of died on arrival. I don't see them really making it a mandatory thing for any game.
