Having only read the first three trades of Sandman from the library, I started Sandman Overture today and didn't think too much of issue #1 outside of the art. These books have always felt too dreamy.

You really should read all of the main Sandman run and then Overture. You're missing a ton of context in Overture if you just go in blind.

who the fuck would pay 800 bucks for ANY artist's page? o_O

I need proof, because...reasons
I forget the issue but this would have been mid 90s Generation x series. All I remember were a couple of the students barge into her bedroom they see her naked, she gets mad and chases them out.

I was told this recently. I gave one room where I hang out and I has all my comics and stuff. Apparently I have too much Harley stuff.

Nah man. One room is fine. My home office doubles as the figure room. I love them, but I don't want them to take over the entire house lest I become one of those people.

I'm not opposed to reading comic books...but that's a lot of comics. I have Absolute Sandman volume 2 and 3 from a used sale but haven't read them yet.

haha I love Hickman's work. He's an exceptional plotter, writes dialogue well, consistent, has solid overarching ideas that run his stories, and makes good use of the medium. His action is so and so. He has his motifs tho. Time displacement the most obvious one

Frank Quitely da God.

Most inventine storyteller in comics.

This is...?
Catch the Rainbow!
It's from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 7: Steel Ball Run
This is Blackmore's Stand, granting him the ability to assimilate with (at least) rain drops. It's form is a mask that resembles Jason Vorheez's

So is it just me, or does Devil Dinosaur (and by extension Moon Boy) get dumped in a lot of stuff? Pure happenstance that it occured, but I happened to read two things with him popping up in the last week...
