Looking at the software chart it's usually PS4 domination, wouldn't be surprised.

So, with the successfull launch of the New 3DS, I'd say that Vita numbers should be really small, if the total amount of handheld HW is around 4 millions.

Damn, guess I was really overestimating the Vita, it's definitely below 500k then, maybe as low as 300.

This one has me thinking. Do we have any splits that were in the 65% 30% region before December 2014? All of them seem to be from this year. I know Sony sold the most consoles during the Christmas period but did it really make the sales gap that big? Why do the sales split skew so heavily towards PS4 in 2015?
Older games don't have these ratios. Then again a lot of those were cross gen. If you concentrate on those two consoles alone it's 55% to 45%. I assume a lot of 360 owners upgraded to a PS4.

Thanks mate. This adds up (UK) with what I've been seeing.

Good to get details for other territories as well. Germany has surprised me this gen when it comes to console sales. Next gen adoption has been very strong early on. Will be interesting to see if this can continue and If it'll reach the peaks or stability of last gen.

Does anyone have comparative figures for 2014? The UK HW market used to be 30% higher than Germany in past years (or don't I remember correctly?).

I'm surprised the top 3 are so close together.

Maybe the fact that it WAS at release technically the best version with 1080p and solid Frame rate has allot to do with it when consumers are deciding which version to buy (PC patch may have changed that ?)

Nah, if you had a PC, Xb1 and Ps4 after reading technical reviews, Ps4 ran the best and would be favoured unless you did not have the choice.

Don't think marketing deals has that much say.....

Very few people have a gaming PC, Xb1 & PS4. Don't mistake GAF for the mainstream consumer.

That was in mid-december or so. The LTD at the end of 2014 was 1.1M, and 416k for the XB1. So yeah, it's very likely that the PS4 holds over 50% of the Gen8 console market in France as of the end of May.

The Order 1886 sales completely plummeted shortly after its launch. It opened selling 30,000 units and 2 months later it had still not reached 40,000 units.

The duel between Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate and The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D looks interesting, if we include the collector's edition then the winner is The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask.

Yes, MCV magazine keeps publishing those monthly charts. I've been thinking many times about collecting the data to post it here but I'm too lazy

UK this week

With little in the way of new releases ‘Batman Arkham Knight’ (-74%) comfortably holds on to the No1 crown for a second week.

For Warner Bros. Interactive it means they maintain their comfortable hold on the All Formats Top 2 positions as ‘Lego Jurassic World’ (-11%) remains at No2. Despite an 11% drop in sales the title is still handed a boost by the arrival of the Wii U version in its 4th week on chart. ‘The Elder Scrolls Online’ (-34%) also maintains No3 spot meaning an unchanged Top 3 for the second week running. ‘The Witcher III: Wild Hunt’ (-31%) climbs a place to No4, while ‘Grand Theft Auto V’ (-5%) is up a place to No5.
‘Yoshi’s Woolley World’ (-60%) is down two places to No6 in its second week. ‘Minecraft: Xbox Edition’ (+0%) climbs four places back into the Top 10 to No7 just ahead of ‘FIFA 15’ (-21%), which is a non-mover at No8. ‘Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare’ (-25%) is down two places to No9 while ‘Minecraft: Playstation Edition’ (+0%) just edges out ‘Destiny’ to round off the Top 10.

That's a good point as well, had more days to both grab the sales for last week and tail off this week. I don't think it's unexpected.

If it was single player only then it would disappear very soon but its multiplayer focused game so it will have longevity and also Nintendo have not released all of its content yet and adding them every week to keep the game in everybody minds to come back to play again. I think nintendo going to focus more on multiplayer aspect in future because only those games sells way better compared to single player only games from them.
