I'm thinking back on games I've played and I think Bayonetta did the most powerful thing I've encountered in a game so far in the final fight of the first game.

Even though Aleph beat bald headed God, in Nocturne you learn that one of the characters is a reincarnated Aleph who God sentenced to relive the end of the world over and over again, making him see the world end while being powerless to stop it. God is a dick in SMT and he had the last laugh. At least in Nocturne the True Demon ending is the Demi-Fiend giving God the finger and leading an army to go try to kick his ass.

In Bayonetta 2, you fight the actual creator deity, Aesir, and do a team-up attack where you summon both Jubileus and her infernal equivalent to beat the fuck out of said creator deity.

It's basically the ending of Asura's Wrath if it played way better.
