PS4 version is up.

Page says it's 720p. It's not like it matters since it wouldn't get any crispier than the PS3/360 versions anyway, but... doesn't that make it completely identical to the PS3 version? The $10 premium wouldn't make any sense then.

Best Buy doesn't have my game in and doesn't know when it will be available. Guess they made a purchase order but no one did anything with it. I'm not in a rush to get it so I am not too worried that $10 GC was too good to pass up.

After doing some searches, it appears the PS4 version runs in 1080p but there is some upscaling going on with the sprites, since they were made for 720p. People complain it looks jagged, but setting the PS4 to 720p makes them look correct again.

I love BB and GG , but these prices and frequent re-releases, i can't keep up. CP was a great revision , this not really. I rarely play much of the story mode anyway so the value for me is on new characters. I think i'll buy it just because now it's on PS4.

This is why i never buy DLC on aksys games, if GG updates trough patches and DLC i'll buy then.

I mean , i have all ps3 versions and csex and cp on vita, they are piling up real fast.

Yeah if any game post CT is a sequel, it's CP. New story mode, 7(?) new characters, drastic gameplay change with overdrives. CPEX is as revisionary as revisions come though.

I haven't played a Blazblue since the original came out, story wise what order do these games go in? Should I pick something else up before I grab this? I've got something on vita from ps+ but I dunno what. Thanks in advance

Original you mean calamity trigger? Just buy Continuum Shift Extend (it has a BBCT route if you forgot the plot) and Chronophantasma Extend and you are fine.

Yes please, I am waiting for him to be playable since BBCT...I guess Homura, Linhua and Hibiki has more chance than him because Mori hate us.

Man, I thought there was something wrong with the xbox one version but hearing this is nice, I knew something looked wrong immediately when lookoing at the screen and it bothers me a lot.

Also, when did they take out bang's theme from CT!??!

Don't even remind me. Both of Bang's new themes, regular and FRKZ, are super inferior to the originals. There was a glitch for CP that let you select a bunch of normally unselectable themes including his old FRKZ one. Of course they patched it out later. I'LL PAY YOU, ARCSYS. Why can't you let me use Beat a Nail With Your Hammer?

I think the story mode thing is divisive. For those interested in the actual fighting game part of the game, the story feels like a lot of fluff used to justify a new full price addition every time. It gets frustrating after a while if you just want to keep up with the actual gameplay content, especially for something most people will only play through once. I just don't think it's a good justification for an almost full-priced fighting game every single time.

Although Aksys won't make a big deal out of it(since they removed it from CP V), this has the library reference as well.

I've just started the game and watching the abridged version of CT just now. I'm loving it. The insults from Rachel to Ragna are as good as always, plus seeing
Nago and Gii voicing people is hilarious.

I also just like seeing more from Celica as well. :D

Does it really cost them $10 extra to press PS4 discs compared to PS3 discs? Also, looks like the PS3 gets a booklet, and no booklet for the PS4 - you'd think they'd at least have a booklet for the extra $10...

I got a booklet in my PS4 case, and the 10 extra dollars isn't just an Arcsys thing.

These type of releases are pretty common in the fighting game genre since SF2. If nothing else we get a discount on the upgrade now.

There's also nothing forcing you or "tricking" you into buying it. If you don't want to play this version pass on it and get a later version, stick with an older one or play something else.

I played more BlazBlue on my PS3 than anything else, comparatively every other game I bought last gen was a rip off.

I might have to give this series another chance, I played CP, didn't hate it, but it did not click with me like GG Xrd did.

I'm incredibly pleased this game got an XB1 release. I'll be buying it as a bday gift for my brother. Japanese games are passing on XB1 left and right so it's neat to see Blazblu get released.

That's a solid no for me. I suppose this is what I get for liking the fighting game with tries to have a plot.

EDIT: I now see that this is $40 on PS3, which makes things a bit harder.

Best Buy had to cancel my order. They said that they couldn't get any in stock even though they ordered them and they no longer have an option to place more. Multiple stores inventory in the surrounding areas showed they got one copy in but no one seems to actually have it. Hopefully my gift card I got from them is still valid.

ouch man. This is a big reason I just order on amazon these days. Feels like the only safe inventory.
