Canada represent!

It was a fantastic episode. But I don't quite follow something...

By what leap of logic does Hannibal goes from *Well, let's open up Will's brain and eat him!* because Will wanted to kill him to *Will I want you to always know where I am and am turning myself in*. It's not like anything significant happened between them at Muskrat Farm other than an Alana-sponsored rescue/request.

But as I said, fantastic episode. But I'm having trouble following Hannibal's thoughts here.

I think the change came when
Will basically rejected him. It stopped being about forgiveness, because they had both done (or attempted to do) awful things to one another. Not only could they possibly be "even", but Will saying "I don't ever want to see you again" possibly
changed his perspective.

I think another very important detail came out: Hannibal
ate Mischa but he did not kill her.

I'm actually about to rewatch it. That push-in shot when Hannibal
gets free and Reitzel's synthy score is on blast=amazing. Plus Hannibal is smiling.
This episode had two extremely good
fakeouts
for me:
Jack about to be lobotomized and Will's face being cut off. I was literally yelling at my TV "No! No way! No way Jack goes out like this!" I thought Fuller would do it.

When the
Face/Off scene began and you see SOMEONE having his face cut off and peeled away, I was thinking "What the fuck? HOW IS WILL GOING TO SURVIVE THIS?!"
Also, I don't think the
whole face-escape
necessarily means that Fuller was planning on never doing SotL. It's such a little detail, really no more different than
fake Freddy Lounds on fire "ahead of schedule".

EDIT: ALSO, regarding your question: Alana
makes Hannibal promise to get Will out alive. That itself should be enough for his change of heart, but MAYBE he also realizes that, despite what Will says, he will always come looking for him...so the best way to keep Will alive is to turn himself in. Maybe.

"Could I have ever understood you?"
"...no."

^ one of my new favorite little moments. Right below "I believe you..." from S2.

Possibly the best episode in the series. The
pig surrogacy
was... wow. Jaw actually dropped.

Alana is dumb as a rock.
how do you not just kill Mason, the guy in the wheelchair, and do what you will with Hannibal, instead of letting the most dangerous man ever who promised to kill you go so he can help you

They'd be caught for it if they did. The whole point of freeing Hannibal was to take out the guards and have him absorb the blame for what happens to Verger. Leaving the gun with Mason was dumb though.

I absolutely love Mads performance during the
dinner scene. His amusement at all of Mason's plans is fucking perfect.
And then Will
bites off a part of Cordell's face. It's ridiculous but I believe it.

Also, how good is Cordell? Dude is a joy to watch.

yeah, cordell
was fantastic, the surprise effect of mason wearing his face was good, but I would have loved to see the confrontation between him and hannibal. they felt like they were on the same level.

Last week's Hannibal: 0.4 demo. This week's Dateline episode: 1.1 demo.

What did NBC do that was stupid?

We're lucky they just haven't pulled the show entirely.

I'm venting because the schedule change is going to make it harder for me to keep up with my favorite NeoGAF thread. :p

Gives new meaning to the yellow king's
"Take off your mask"
:lol

Damn..such a great end to this arc. But jeez...Hannibal really can't take no for the answer :D I'm actually glad they never got Silence rights. Because to have Hannibal form such a strong bond with somebody else would feel pretty weird.

It would make more sense if
Will dies. Hannibal would be alone again
.

Any idea if the new episode will be available for streaming via NBC.com or Amazon tomorrow? Do they add new content on Sundays?

Yeah, Mason's just a liiiiiiiittle touched.

EDIT: Will just can't catch a break, guy's face is gonna look like a roadmap when the show is over.

Will by the end of season 3.

Well, that fucking delivered. Loved everything about it. Mason and Cordell's insanity and cruelty towards everyone. How I rooted for a cannibal to be the hero. Margot and Alana's revenge. Chiyo being awesome. Everything about it was so fucking great.

Agreed.

I actually like Chiyoh-san as well.

Wow that montage of surgery. Fucking damn.

I wonder what Chiyo's crosshairs on Hannibal meant? She wanted him to be captured? She said "some beats shouldn't be caged" but I guess that was a lie, hah
