RED ASH Kickstarter crashes n burns (Comcept/Inafune/Hyde making Mega Man Legends 3)

I used to think it was barely going to make it.

Now I'm having doubts..

But anonymous donors on the last day giving just enough to fund a project already has a precedent.

In another interesting turn of events, several retailers are listing Mighty No 9 with a 2016 placeholder date now. What a mess.

So just as their very hastily thrown together seeming, incredibly dodgy Kickstarter looks like it's not going to be funded, their current project might suddenly be massively delayed?

Well that doesn't look suspicious at all!

Ruh roh. Do we need a new thread for this?
I'm thinking so, hopefully someone will be able to shed some light on the situation. There seems to be a lot of dots that need connecting after all of those Amazon orders were cancelled then reinstated last week too.

Launch a new Kickstarter if old.

Yesterday, the #RedAsh team went to meet our partners at Hyde inc.
We will be showing some of their work on the project soon!

We have some very good news coming in the next update! #RedAsh And even more BIG updates next week!

Let's hope is some kind of footage and the console choice.

September 15th for NA, 18th WW, but now it looks like Amazon, Gamestop, and Walmart has just changed the date to the Dec 2016 placeholder.

Gamefly now shows this too. Hoo boy. They sure haven't mentioned this in a Kickstarter update yet. I mean they just finished sending out platform surveys.

IIRC they confirmed it was a mistake, no?

Yes, it is.

The latest update on the anime Kickstarter adds a Blu-Ray for all backers at the $94 level. I hadn't realized that that was previously locked behind a stretch goal. As the campaign was originally set up, $94 could very well have gotten you a 5-minute SD download and no Blu-Ray disc. That just seems incredibly stingy and is yet another reason why the perception of these Kickstarters is so bad.

Oh well, this is all moot since neither KS will reach its initial funding goal.

Well that is hardly a huge accomplishment

You would swear this game had been released with how people on the internet talk about it.

I'm not even just trying to be snarky. I think they are people who honestly think the game released and was flop because how past tense other people are with this game.

The feel-bad kickstarter of the summer!

Gosh it really is the feel-bad kickstarter though. Bad timing, bad pitch, worries, so many problems. I completely forgot about it until this thread got bumped. It kind of doesn't matter as much if it barely makes it because a big kickstarter should be well past the minimum requirement by now to be a true success...

455.5k before the update. Sudden drop to 455,2 after. How weird.
Anyway. PS4 console port as predicted.

Might be too late and too little though

What they're asking for ($90 for a low budget game that I don't even know will exist?) vs what they're giving (some sketchy story boards and character designs), I still can't justify contributing. Even though MML3 is my most desired game of all time.
