It's a point-and-click adventure game where every single screen looks like H.R. Giger designed the cover of a heavy metal album:

Puzzles are a moderate difficulty without being obtuse and it's full of split moral choices, many of which have an actual impact on who can turn up later on in the game.

There is one downside, which is that there is one bullshit choice to make near the end of the game through which you can unwittingly undo a lot of your other decisions but doing so also fits into the thematic narrative at that point...so mixed feelings on that.

Shit, this sounds amazing. I'm not gonna watch the video, I'll just buy it now. Sounds fantastic. I like real moral choices. I get tired of the ones in games like Infamous where they don't try. "Defuse the bomb, or let people die?" uhhhhhh

Fave five games this year?

1) Bloodbourne
2) Life is Strange (assuming episode 5 doesn't ruin it)
3) Her Story
5) Rocket League
5) Witcher 3 (although Arkham Knight and MKX could also be in this slot, aka the 'didn't turn out quite as good as I hoped' slot)

Potential top fivers by the end of the year? XCom 2 almost certainly. Fallout 4 maybe (never finished 3 or NV, both of them had save files that crapped out and would load me into instant death, then cloned that save file over my other save files, because fuck me that's why).

Hope you enjoy it as much as I did. All I'll say is when you reach that final decision, which actually seems pretty insignificant at first; really think about why your character is there.

Won't say any more so I don't spoil it.

With 4/5 episodes being as great as they are, Episode 5 is simply going to be the deciding factor between the top spot and second-place on the end of the year list for me. They can't be retroactively ruined in my opinion.

With the frequent Twin Peaks easter eggs, I was half expecting them to pay further homage by making episodes 3&4 shit, before bringing it all back together with a wonderful final episode with a cliffhanger we'd have to wait 26 years to resolve.
