Sometimes you have to give creators like Inafune time to let their creations come to life.

Can't wait for the Kickstarter post

"Good News, Everyone! We made a new business deal where we'll get two times more funding if we delay the game until the next fiscal quarter!"

I made all that up, it's a joke

I can hear everything in his voice haha.

Yeah, I suspect there will be another kickstarter, or maybe this is punishment for the disaster that is Red Ash.

i suspect the timing of the Red Ash Kickstarter was precisely due to Inafune knowing this game wasn't coming out in September. Get all that money for another project, then announce the delay of the upcoming game after so that it doesn't hurt Red Ash.

If the Red Ash kickstarter had been successful, we wouldn't have heard this news until after it was over. We're hearing it now because they secured funding from Fuze. Nothing to lose.

If the kickstarter fails for Red Ash, they're not going to see a dime.

Which is why they're delaying it?

I mean, it's no mystery that some developers use funding they secured for a new title in order to finish up another one already in production.

They probably expected Red Ash to get finished, used some of that money in order to finish up MN9, and they would've secured the funding anyways from FUZE thus besmirching exactly what the KS was paying for and what FUZE was paying for?

It's really disheartening how poorly this is being handled. Now I just feel like they dug up the remains of the Legends series to kick it around again before dumping it back in.

Hype's still at maximum for Mighty No. 9, though. You couldn't pay me to not be excited.

That moment when Gamers realize what a publisher feels like when dealing with how much of an endless money blackhole Creatives can be if they are not controlled.

/s, but it is kinda cool that Kickstarter is putting donors in a similar position as publishers, but without any of the benefits like the profit which would result from a successful game release.

I'm not saying I condone what Capcom did...but I understand.

I wanted to dominate the living room. Then I took an ESRAM in the knee.
Huh, I thought the game was already done. Didn't Inafune already start another kickstarter campaign?

That is odd, as the game looked solid and well on its way from its E3 showing this year......

My bet is that either the Red Ash Kickstarter had some impact on Mighty No. 9's development (leading to its delay) or that the game really needs more time in the oven to be a stronger product (maybe improve its visuals to make it more-in line with the concept art they showed off).

What sort of impact would the Red Ash KS have on Mighty No. 9??

I'm going to make a drinking game for Inafune threads and take a drink every time I see that Kamiya tweet

It's been reported/listed that it was going to be delayed a lot lately.

You don't say. I just didn't think it was possible for anything else to go wrong with Inafune's projects...

I'm so glad I had dropped my donation down to the 20 dollar tier when I had it 80 way back when.
What shit show this has become

What in the hell is going on with this game, it really doesn't look that good and it's getting delayed now? And the Red Ash kickstarter did not help with Concepts image...

I guess they are pulling funding from Mighty No. 9 to get work done on Red Ash or something.

Both games faced a lot of backlash as well, so something has to explain this delay :l.

My last to guesses are the following:
-They want to finish work on the 3DS and Vita versions so that can launch alongside the console/PC ports
-Tie the game to the upcoming animated series next year (which that will be finished by).

Oh for fuck's sake.

It's incredible how much respect I've lost for Inafune in the last few months. Guy made my favorite game ever but now he's doing bad choice after bad choice.
