It's just a delay, relay

the hate sometimes toward this and Inafune seems sometimes really artificial

besides that didn't Comcept producer said, this was mistake after gamestop and amazon changed the release date

#OOP, I wonder what would have happened if the re:DASH campaing managed to get funded and then they announce a delay for MN9.

Wow, Inafune really isnt having an easy time these days.

I hope nothing happens to Recore

Well, because it's Microsoft published, it means he did business with other businessmen who also know how to handle their business. So if Microsoft cancels it, it's a business decision and shows how 'good' of a businessman Inafune is at running a business.

With stretch goal: Actually release in 2015!

Seriously though, I wonder if they are polishing it due to the negative feedback.

That's my thoughts. It's been receiving a pretty tepid reception hasn't it?

Still, it's baffling why a game like this is taking so long. Stretched too thin with wanting it to be a major multimedia franchise out of the gate would be my suspicion.

I think he means that a lot of people are just piling on the hate right now because it's the popular thing to do.

But I would disagree. I think there are a lot of valid reasons to not be a fan of Inafune right now. The way Red Ash was handled was a trainwreck in every way imaginable. Adding a three month delay to MN9 right after that definitely isn't a good look.

You're the one who said it seemed artificial. Great job explaining how it's artificial, when it seems anything but.

It's obviously not though. Sure, there are always some bandwagoners, but it's pretty obvious that Inafune's public perception is going downhill because of the problems that keep happening under his watch.

Second delay already I think. And since GameStop owns Game Informer, I think they know what they are talking about

LOL
This lightens up the mood a lil bit

Really hoping its to rework the visuals..... game looked very bland. Games with similar atheistic like Splosion Man that came out 6 years ago looked more visually interesting.
Maybe but like I said what they have been showing us recently was what we were going to get. Something tells me it's not something about the game itself.

Psssh...nothing personnel. It's just business.

gave away the keys to the kingdom.
Its Steam Store page still says September 15. As I said in the previous thread, I suspect the delay is related to distribution/manufacturing and won't impact the digital release.

I'd also add that the speed run video posted here yesterday didn't leave a very good impression of MN9 to many of us, especially since, at the time, the 9/15 release date seemed legitimate. The video looked like Mega Man's bland cousin who relied too much on dash, and the gameplay appeared to be ridiculously easy. Maybe the delay will help but the last few updates on MN9 have been lackluster at best.

I don't hate Inafune but there's quite a bit of reasons to be disappointed in him lately.

"My first Kickstarter was a colossal fuck up and the game turned out like hot trash and needs to be delayed again, please give me more money"

Just saying "what" is also Great Job on asking for an explanation

Well, I don't understand the hate. I'm pretty happy with this Kickstarter, lots of updates and stuff.

Then Deep Silver or someone should issue a comment saying as much. Offering a no comment to GameInformer doesn't give much confidence.

Interestingly, you can pre-order a digital Steam code on amazon.de right now but the physical copies never went up.

Maybe next time people will think twice about mythologizing the guy who helped drive Capcom into the hole they are now and will see him for what he is.

What a mess

Looking at the recent video

Why oh why did they not stick with the 2D art for heavens sake

I agree. Even if it didn't match up with this concept art I wish they stuck with a 2D style because their 3D stuff in the game looks awful. They could at least kept the cool looking HP Bar.

Animating 2D at that quality would have been exceptionally more difficult and time-consuming than what they're doing now.

Also, concept art.

I don't disagree that their 3D stuff isn't exactly exceptional either, however.

And he had the nerve to announce another kickstarter, this is unacceptable. I'd be fine with a delay if he didn't try to kickstart another project before this was even out

For the 11 billionth time. That was concept art and said so on the kickstarter page. Hell on the same page that had more reasonable 2D sprites that were also concept art.

This is coming from someone who has not been impressed at MN9 at all.
