It's just something fun for the fans of the old games, I don't see anything wrong with it. It happens to only King and Yuri, both are from Art of Fighting.

SNK went the extra mile in XIII in a lot of ways, Yuri for example has two versions of her sprite. One with short hair and one with a pony tail. In a 2D game.

They even gave Kyo his classic look from KOF94, which must have been quite a bit of extra work.

Ryu, Chun-Li, Ken, Bison, Nash, Birdie, Cammy, Necalli, Rachid, Laura, Zen, Alex, Juri, Urien, Karin, R. Mika.

This is as perfect as the initial roster can be. Im not even mad that it leaked thats how much i like the roster. Sure my favs like Sagat are missing but totally fine with him being dlc so more of the 3S and Alpha characters can make it in.

Based on roster i think Zen will be an old guy, Rachid will be a dark character and Laura mix race, all bases covered. Im really curious about the boss, as much as i like Nicalli i don't feel its him. Zen perhaps, even Urien? Anything will be an improvement over Seth.

The names Ken Bogard, the accurate leaker, was throwing about. We think they're the names of the new characters along with Necali.

Would be interesting to see an old female character master type... Probably not going to happen though. For the boss they really need to shake it up, we already had 2 half naked (I guess seth might be full naked) bosses..

Yeah i really like it too... which is why I'm worried it won't be the core roster. It's too good and Capcom wouldn't appease us so easily, especially not me XD
No idea about the new peeps but I'll be keeping an eye out, especially for Laura.

Is it confirmed that Zen is a dude? I mean it totally can be a female name and ill be down with an old female character. That would actually be great.

Capcom really gotta shake it up. I feel they are making a lot of good moves this gen so i trust the roster will actually feel fresh unlike sf4. Pulling sf4 rostor back to back would be beyond stupid.

Only thing we know about Zen is that they're probably called Zen ^.^;
Yeah, I'm really hoping we don't end up with half a cast of returning SF4'ers in the core. Juri would soften the blow a bit but I wouldn't be super happy with it otherwise: new game means I want more characters I wasn't just playing in the last entry darnit XD

Well... my liking it is contingent on Mika and Karin not getting redesigns that make me post an Adam Jensen meme picture :p

I saw some crazy C.Viper fan being particularly saucy about the proposed roster because it didn't include their favourite XD

I'm going to go new wave, and say aside from character select problems, SF5 ken is my favorite.

Followed By SF4 work out ken with alpha hair, which I'm sure is the reason why ken looks the way he looks now. Because literally everyone and their mom uses and likes that outfit

That modding is actually a really good representation of Ken. I think Capcom will change things up - the game is still a ways off.

Since it hasn't been linked here yet: Vega reveal trailer

This trailer has me a little worried. There seems to be a lot of "auto-mixup" in the game, in the style of Decapre, El Fuerte or Rolento in SF4. I know Combofiend loves that stuff, but I really don't like it.

I love how everyone (including myself) thought the rumored roster was perfect and then Capcom quickly put an end to those rumors the very next day.

Vega looks cool though and one of the world warriors that I thought would be great in SFV.

Huh. I totally missed that Vega reveal. I was wondering why I came in here and people were mourning Karin/Mika. I mean, they still have a shot, be it in the main roster or as DLC, but... huh. I guess either the roster we had wasn't finalized, or it was wrong completely. I'll have to check out that trailer after work today, I guess. Maybe we are getting Vega over Juri, so that way the Blondes can take over the roster?

Also, was this an early GamesCom reveal? This just seems out of nowhere, and I would've thought they'd try to stagger reveals so we're still learning about new characters up until launch.

Well that was unexpected. Not the worst addition to the roster, but not exactly high on my wish list.

I'm still holding out hope for Urien.

One of them only has a shot if Sakura is in. It would be like having Ken but no Ryu (nightmare).


The other one is whatever but if they change her design so much that she's only R Mika by name and play style I'll be ok with that


Her original design is so bad like sooooo bad

Yeah, the timing is really weird. Maybe they wanted to push this character forward so they can reveal Balrog during GamesCom lol.
