Rocket Beans are able to do segments on Twitch, that don't feature any video game content at all, for example talkng about movies or the early newspaper. Why wouldn't Gametrailers be allowed to do the same?
Not sure. :/ Perhaps they can and their plan to stream a game in the meantime was just an off the cuff idea in case they couldn't.

In my interpretation, having a non-gamening related segment segment should be fine, as long as the focus of Gametrailers is on gaming in general.
(case in point: RocketBeans, who partnered their channel with Twitch, while this rule is in place)
No idea, if Kyle's stand-up will be gaming related. And having a game in the background might actually suit his program, so maybe he would want to do it anyway.
Ah, maybe they brought up that point because Kyle doesn't think his stand-up could possibly be mostly related to gaming. Dude went pretty broad in that one stand-up segment. The Wendy's burgers lol

The GT crew just makes life so jolly, love watching a stream and several shows every day while I work. I am greatly looking forward to this, train wreck and all.
that is so unfair.. even if bosman lost the bets, #TeamBosman still wins with the stake of the bet..
Afaik do rocketbeans actually have a contract with twitch that says 70% of their stuff has to be gaming related. Not sure if that's a special offer or something every channel can do

a) The standup routine should at least in part be gaming themed. What I've seen of Bosman's standup is for a broader audience, but this time his audience will be primarily people who play video games. Make video game jokes!
b) References to Final Bosman running gags should be kept to a minimum. I'm a big Final Bosman fan but there are going to be people tuning in who don't watch the show as much. Turn them into new fans instead of alienating them.
Kyle is a very presentation-savvy dude so I feel like if he reads this, it'll either look like I said two very obvious things, or he'll ignore them for well justified reasons. Whatever happens, I'm looking forward to this very very much. Dude is super funny and even if this is a train wreck it'll be a super funny one.

R.I.P. Bosman, no one deserves this. Well we deserve it, because watching you do a 1 hour stand up is a blessing from the gaming gods. But man, good luck with that 1 hour. Going to go by slow.
