Got my MGSV future shop order, woohoo. A day late but for the savings I don't mind.
I actually prefer the white system because of the colored buttons, unless they're still colored on the black model? But yes, more choices would definitely be great.
True. NoA would have to be completely brain-dead [even more than usual] to not cash in on the Yo-Kai Watch hype and release a bundle here. But then, they've made some odd choices in the past.
Either way, I'll wait. I really have no interest in HHD, and I do for Yo-Kai Watch. Here's hoping NoA pulls through.

Hey guys, figure I'll ask for help in this thread since this is a Canadian issue: How can I watch HBO Now on my tv? I know that I'll have to fake an American IP, and I think that I can use Hola or something like that.
I'm also prepared to purchase a Chromecast for this. I'm just not sure how this would all go down... So far, I think that it would be something to the effect of:
Download HBO Now app on smartphone (this could be an issue due to being Canadian) -> Get American IP address using Hola -> Sign in online on smartphone -> Stream from phone to tv using Chromecast -> Watch on tv
Any help would be appreciated

I dont think we're ever going to see the smaller New 3DS outside of bundles. Nintendo has already stated they don't believe it will sell the numbers it needs to have a permanent place on retail shelves. I'm speculating it will make appearances every so often inside a bundle to help push particular titles. I could see them releasing the black one with Fire Emblem Fates (similar to the JP bundle). Personally, I'm not taking any chances. This may very well be the only opportunity to get one of these...
Think I'll hop on this. Is this a limited time discount or normal price?

I ended up placing a pre-order for the stupid Happy Home Designer bundle after all. Ugh. I keep staring at the order and thinking, geez, am I really considering paying over $300 for a 3DS and a game I'm not sure I even want, just so I can put some faceplates on the thing and have better 3D? Am I really that stupid? And yet I haven't gone and cancelled it yet. Ugh. I hate myself. And I hate Nintendo a little bit too.

Chromecast will know you're Canadian as soon as it hits your network. I tried with American Netflix. You'll need to use a service that makes your router pretend to be American.

I am genuinely curious about how you end up with 5 3DS XLs, are you a sucker for limited editions and such?
Yeah, I never intended to buy more than 1 originally. I picked up a blue XL the day they were released. I'd always hated how the inside of of the XL units were all black minus the outside shells. When they announced the ALBW Bundle, being that it was one of the first models to feature an entire paint job inside and out, and the fact that I'm a pretty big fan of Zelda I figured it was worth owning a second unit. I grabbed a red unit from Target when they were blowing them out for around $90. Picked up the NES edition also from Target for around $120 I think. The Target purchases were more impulse buys than anything. They just seemed too good a deal to pass up. My 5th one was the Majora's Mask New XL for the improved 3D/nub.
It's nice to know I'l always have a working unit. However, the fact that I can't have my digital purchases on more than 1 system, nor can I actually play 5 systems at once does leave me feeling I ended up with way more than I could possibly appreciate . And now I am contemplating buying this new stupid bundle because I prefer to have something smaller and more portable. I'm also a sucker for anything that can be customized so those faceplates are really up my alley.

Regular price, but as you can see he didn't expect the disparity so the price could go up eventually, so why not be an early adopter? The games are great and it's only $4.

I totally played Pilotwings Resort and Nintendogs (+ CATS!) for hours. Dark days indeed.
I did enjoy the GBA games, though.
Yeah. I'm still annoyed I bought it at $250 and didn't play a single 3DS game until after the $70 price drop.

So what are the chances Walmart will be getting this n3ds bundle? 300$ after taxes is really steep but I have some reward points at Walmart, at least....
Good times... Now Nintendogs + Cats is my daughters favorite game. I would've never had that game did I not buy a 3DS at launch. Pretty sad that that was my only game for the longest time.

My first 3DS was a used Ambassador system, I bought it on March of 2013 for $120. For my birthday (on April) I bought an XL, transferred the games, and sold the OG for $140. I still smile when I think about it.

I reviewed the 3DS on my little blog, thanks to Nintendo who were nice enough to lend me one prior to launch. But I bought one on day one, which got me into the Ambassador program. I never really got around to playing those games, though, and lost them when I sold the system a month prior to receiving a N3DSXL for review.
I wish I still had them, in case I'll one day find the time to play a few of those classics that I missed.
Dead pixels were frustrating at launch. I went through three before finding a good one.

not sure if this will help you situation at all but The movie network go app in Canada carries all the hbo stuff I think but you'll need a login info. Not sure about chromecast support though.
I had the HHD New 3DS bundle in my cart, ready to complete checkout...and then I backed out. It's not so much the cost [although it doesn't help -_-] it's the bundling of an item I don't want that stopped me, as well as the potential for another bundle with a game I DO have interest in being released later. It'd be nice if Fire Emblem got one, but if they did it would likely be the black model, and I'd prefer the white one. I'm really hoping Yo-Kai Watch gets one, which Nintendo would be idiotic not to do, especially around the holiday season. You wouldn't be able to keep it on the shelves.
