This poster pulses with an appeal so broad the typical restraints of our societies fall by the wayside.
Ramon Salazar?!

I think it's somewhat misleading that he's always gonna be doing as politically themed segments. Trump is a special target. I doubt he's gonna be attacking Republican tax policy. Though I'd like to be surprised

So far this is pretty damn good... does anyone know if CBS is on Hulu and did they used to put David's shows up there the next day?

That segment killed me. I haven't truly laughed out loud at late night in years. Cracked a smile, sure. Chuckled, yes. Belly laughed? Not until tonight.

Lets not put all our eggs in the opening episodes basket. The Colbert Report was the outlier of daily comedy shows in that it hit it out the park it's first episode. The Daily Show, The Late Show, John Oliver and pretty much any other nightly show takes time to hit its stride. And lets also remember that The Colbert persona slowly grew on the Daily Show before he took it solo.

Lets not Conan Colbert because of one show.

I meant in general not just exclusively these first interviews, but yea I agree; what did you mean by "Conan" him?

Trump segment felt very familiar which made me happy!

Colbert then Corden. This is gonna be a good one two punch for me.

I know others crap on Corden but I appreciate his style. He keeps it fresh enough and I like him interviewing all the guests at once.

I was worried about how Colbert would fit into the Late Night format, but it looks like he's just gonna do the same show with a couple of interviews at the end. I'm a-okay with that.

My one biggest criticism so far might be his combination of medium-blue suit with that strangely old-looking tie. There's something strangely hokey about it that I can't quite pin down.

How big is his writing staff? That's a lot to write 5 nights a week
