Final Fantasy XV - Dawn 2.0 trailer, new screenshots

It's a weird nitpick, but I think one of the things I like about the old Stella design is that shorter skirt. Not because it's hotter or anything, but because it seems to hint at a less elegant design than Luna currently has.

I hope Luna gets to bust out of that long dress at some point.

Considering our first ever look at Stella was her in a white dress, I feel like something similar will happen with Luna. I mean, Stella looked pretty delicate while in her white dress talking to Noctis. We only saw a more "aggressive" side of her in a completely different
though similar to Yuna's
outfit. With Luna, on the other hand, we've already seen her take a more fearless stance while dressed elegantly.

I'm not sure what the XV threads need is an infusion of Mass Effect, but I will talk about Cor ALL NIGHT. Please let one of Noct's bros bite it halfway through and be replaced by Cor. Quick draw katana style for life.

You're probably right.

But yeah, Cor has just got that air of "auto-cool" that manifests itself in certain Final Fantasy characters from the get-go. I hope his script is half as rad as his demeanor. Hopefully at very least he's a guest for a while.

True that. Everyone thought she was all quiet and resolute with her seated head nod/fist clench maneuver, but she's actually a diva, what with her stand up and fiercely brush aside a rifle while walking all sassy on the way to summoning a city-wrecking dragon God maneuver.

@Jeffzero - I know, right? He's got that Auron/Cyan thing going on. He's just got to be a guest, a least for a while. Someone has to keep the bros in line.

That damn Roen deal. If it wasn't for that we could have possibly gotten OG stella as an unlockable or DLC outfit if enough fans clamored for it. :p

I think it's pretty safe to assume she will ditch the dress if you look at her Duscae artwork :p
Oh, I'm sure she will at some point...just hoping it comes sooner rather than later!

Fair point. I'm just impatient :p

i definitely miss the Stella, there was such mystery behind her character when first revealed. Luna is dry toast.

I understand personal preferences, but there's much more mystery to Luna. So much so that much of the fanbase only talked about her sitting on a chair doing nothing for one whole year.

Lol. And Stella is old toast that someone threw away, but people keep, taking out of the garbage, brushing the coffee grounds and egg shell off, and salivating over.

Luna sitting on a chair looking super concerned with her hand over her chest was the worst way to introduce the character. It's funny because she honestly looks like a total bad ass from the concept art we've seen but... we haven't really gotten any of what the concept art conveys in the trailers and promo material yet. Which is a shame.

Just weirdly cut trailers.

Did Nomura direct and cut the Dawn trailers?

It's presumed that he hasn't had made a trailer since the E3 2013 trailer.

That Stella design was killed by Nomura in 2013.

Hope you liked his latest design as of 2013.

I like how people ignore the fact that this is precisely Luna's design.Even if Nomura were on board, this is how Stella would've looked.

We never saw Stella's real time model ,but I am confident it would've looked exactly like Luna's current model. This CG translates to it perfectly.

I'm hoping to sacrifice Prompto for Cor. It's a tragic sacrifice, but I'm willing to make it.

I'm with you. Prompts will be missed, but we'll always have our cell phone selfies and memories of the time we came back to the tent to find him necking with Ignis. Who, incidentally, I'm hoping to trade for dark bangs lady.

Yeah but they had to turn her hair into a prom night gone wrong disaster.

I think a moogle lives in that nest back there.

Yas I live for bangs woman!

High five. My guess from key art is that she'll serve as Luna's bodyguard. No doubt she and Cor will cross blades at some point. As sparks fly from their locked swords and eyes, a frisson of forbidden passion shivers through the room, etc.

If she ends up being a boring handmaiden type I'll be very sad.

Who has designed Luna though? Is it Nomura or the Roberto guy?

My bet ? Its clear to me they took Stella's 2013 design and renamed it Luna.

So it is Nomura's design.

So far she's my favorite looking character I've seen of XV and I haven't seen anything but half a face and key art of her holding a trident.

I liked Lulu's character, but that outfit needs some editing. :O

My reaction whenever someone posts the old designs of Stella, forgetting that she was redesigned by Nomura in 2013

IMO, I don't think it's so much the design (though it plays a part), but more so of how Luna has been portrayed at this point compared to Stella back then. I remembered when Stella was revealed in the Closed Mega Theater, people were saying she was pretty much the villain. We'd know much later on that she's royalty from a neighboring kingdom that Noct's kingdom had peace negotiations. There was also that whole FNC thing where they both nearly experienced death. She was pretty much teased to be the Anti-Villain.

At this point, all we know about Luna is that she's Noct's wife (in an arranged marriage), and prior to the Dawn trailers, all she did was wait for Noctis.

I mean, everyone knows she's not going to stay like that; neither do we know if Stella would have ended up sitting down for the rest of FFv13 game, but it's not hard to understand why people would not like the changes so far (add to that the wait they had to endure to get to play Nomura's vision of the game, only for Tabata to come in).

I mean I am kinda cautious about Luna but I am open about it, I just don't get why a lot of people are bashing (well, not really) people who found the change disappointing. The speculations and disappointment won't stop unless SE finally decides to reveal more than what they have been feeding us.

Until then, let the cautious remain cautious. They have the right to that.

I hate how Luna's hair looks like some JPOP artist's though.
