I think the award should have gone to The Americans.

The writing on that show is on another level. Still don't understand why it doesn't get more respect in the tv circles.

I guess this is why HBO told GRRM he couldn't miss this one, even on his birthday. They either knew the results beforehand or "arranged" them.

Literally anyone besides GoT should have won, and I like this past season more than most.

The Americans is 100% robbed tonight.

"Oh, the Emmy's are on tonight."

*Turns TV on, tunes in, GoT award*

"Ah well, still shit I see. Back to Mario Maker!"

*Turns TV off*

Hahahahaa game of thrones over mad men writing

Yeah, I don't get it. Mother's Mercy was definitely the strongest episode of that season, but compared to Mad Men's last block of episodes...just no.

I don't really pay attention to awards shows, but when I do, I always see shows getting awards right when they turn the point from being good to sucking. Like, GoT is pretty good, but the last season of GoT? God, no.

If Clarke wins, I'm dipping.

EDIT: It was Uzo, thank goodness.

Game of Thrones does not deserve to win that

Game of Thrones....really?

As a GoT fan, Bull-fucking-shit.

Game of Thrones won a writing award while in the same category as Mad Men and The Americans?

JenniferLawrenceOkay.gif

ew are you serious? puke

Get back to writing the books George.

GoT won? What.

I'm out

Completely undeserved.

The Americans snubbed. One of the most jaw dropping episodes of TV ever.

The Game of Thrones people are used to being able to curse on TV, so that should probably be expected

I love GoT... But that award was a joke lol

"You want a good girl, but you need the bad pussy."

The guy who wrote that line just won an Emmy for best writing.

We're lucky one of them didn't whip their dick out.

LOL
The one award it deserves the least, writing was much worse than the other nominees.

Game of Thrones beat Mad Men, The Americans, and Better Call Saul in writing? What?

I think the award should have gone to The Americans.

The writing on that show is on another level. Still don't understand why it doesn't get more respect in the tv circles.

Hahahahaa game of thrones over mad men writing

AND in the same season for that Sansa rape trash

l o l

writing is like, the very last thing GoT should be recognized for

They split the vote by nominating two episodes. Nobody watches The Americans, and I imagine the voting base thought Breaking Bad had gotten enough praise.

They also opened the voting to a much larger pool. GoT is a cultural phenomenon. It's the biggest show out right now so it makes sense that those two things would build up enough momentum for the show to get more recognition beyond the technical awards it sweeps up.
